I am back

Hi everyone I am back sorry I have been gone or so long, but we moved from Oregon to Austin Texas and it has been crazy.  I lost my daddy on September 10th of last year that was very hard on me because we were very close, I am coming up on my son being gone 6 years already and my mom is going to be coming to live with us.  It has been crazy.  Romeo is doing so good he likes it here.  My hubbys mom and her boyfriend live here so at least we have someone here we know.  We both have good jobs and doing good.  Romeo goes to doggie daycare on every Tuesday a lady name Julie has like 6 acres she is so awesome and Romeo loves it he is so tired when I pick him up from playing all day but it is good for him to be with his own breed as my hubby would say LOL :)  he says that to me you need to find friends be with your own breed LOL I am a few but I miss my sister-in-law scrapbooking with her.

Is anyone on the site live in Texas at all if so let me know.

Great to be back I will get on now more and more

Glad you are back wondered where you were,sorry for the loss of your daddy always hard to loose a parent and a child  I lost a daughter years ago.If you have never lived in Texas it is extremely hot in the summer since Romeo is a black & rust boy you might google a swamp coat or check out some of the Dachshund web sites and look for a cooling coat for Romeo.Buddy my Doberman is also black & rust would love to get him one but at 90# his is expensive. Do not think Romeo s would cost that much might be worth looking into.AC is a must for sure.Papbouv

Good to hear all is well for all of you there, but really sorry for your loss. Glad Romeo is having much fun and adventure with new friends..

Thank you all so much.  Yes it is hot here it is hot right now we already have the air on in the house.  It is crazy I sure miss back home.  Romeo did ok last summer we came in June we kept him in the house with air when we were gone I always make sure he has fresh cool water all the time I am obessed with it LOL :) we were in a camper when we first got here but we are renting a house now and Romeo has a nice back yard and his doggie door so he is good.  On weekends we go to the river or lake or somewhere with water and swim he likes that.  So I asked is anyone on the site from Texas or close to Texas if so let me know.

So glad to hear from you !!!  We are in Texas too - in the Dallas area...and the $%#)%*#$_%* heat is way to hot ALREADY  :idiot:  Sounds like you have a wonderful place for Romeo to go be with his "own kind" - LOL !!!!

Yay!!  You are back!!  We have been wondering how you were doing.  So sorry to hear of the loss of your dad.

Hi doxielady how are you doing I think you told me your first name but I had done forgot sorry.  We are ok and thanks for the thoughts.  It has been tuff for sure but getting better.  How is porky pie doing I missed hearing his stories :) they are just so darn cute.  Glad to be back and hear from you.  Keep in touch ok I am on facebook under Laura Christie if you are look me up ok.
