Air Snaping

MIL has a half Dachshund & maybe poodle hubby was over to MIL house said the dog molly was air snapping this is a new behavior. Looked it up the one article I read  goes along with compulsive disorder wondered if anyone might know more about it. ? Thanks for your time.

Bonnie is an air snapper with other new dogs she meets.  It seems to be a dominance thing.  Never a real bite just an air snap.  Never at humans.  Just other dogs.  Even ones that we thought she was friends with.
