Really and truly, it's a Friendly Yellow.  No green in site.  These pictures just show different exposure, I guess.  I am techno challenged, y'know.

Just beautiful! Great job picking things out. It's so hard to tell for sure until it's all up together but you did a wonderful job. And of course Bonnie is such a beautiful Princess!!

Ruth, we had a neutral color carpet throughout.  Now we have beech wood (flavored) laminate in most of the house.  We have charcoal laminate in our bedroom.  We also now have garnet colored cellular shades on the windows for the living/dining and kitchen.  Next------bedroom furniture, which we ordered inAugust but one item is on backorder and they don't want to ship until the full order is here.  First BIG purchase via E-Bay store.  Probably the last.  We have been living out of boxes and our mattress is on the floor since we sold our old bedroom set in Sept!

How do you like the laminate?  I think that is how I want to go in my new house.

LOVE it!  Do go with the 12 mm kind, though.  Ours has a padding built right in but we still also put down a moisture barrier sheet.  Ours is a high gloss and while it is lovely, it does show EVERYTHING!  At this point, I don't know if I would have gone to a more matte because I DO love the shiny but it definitely takes a bit more work to keep it nice.  I dust swiffer my floors almost every day and mop with a water/vinegar/rubbing alcohol/3 drops of dish soap solution every week just in a spray bottle and sprayed on and then mopped up with a micro fiber mop.  Be sure to check with the manufacturer to see what they recommend for cleaning.  Better laminate seems pretty hardy.  I also find that if I use my vacuum, if you use the bare floor setting (never use the beater brush setting), my Dyson picks up an amazing amount of dirt.  All I can think when I empty the canister is, THIS WAS IN MY CARPET?????  EWWWW!
