Porky Pie here:  Mama said I could post since I am doing better today.  I still have those owies in my mouth and I don't like the hoomans playing with them.  :cussing:  My mama gives me this yummy pink medicine twice a day and I drink it right down now that I know what it is.  But she only feeds me this icky broth stuff and I am so hungry!!  I keep asking her for the "real" food, but she says "No, Porky, not yet."  That's not nice! I don't like this broth junk so mama has to have dad hold me while she puts it in a syringe thingy and makes me drink it.   I got to try this smoothie thing that was really yummy for breakfast, but then when Mama was doing the ouchie thing to my teeth, she saw food caught in on of the wounds.  She called it irrigating my teeth with salt water??   :dontknow: I just call it mean and torture!  I scream and yelp when she does it so the neighbor's know I'm being abused down here.   So, since the food got stuck in there, I'm back to the broth for a few days or mama can try and make the smoothie stuff thinner.  She said something about coocnut milk yogurt too. That sounds yummy!!  But, she couldn't find any at the health store, so I have to wait till next week to put that in my smoothies.   The pain hasn't been bad today, but last night it was till mama gave me that sleepy medicine.  Ah!!  I like that stuff even though it makes me feel strange.   I slept a lot last night and today, but I get hungry a lot so I eat, then sleep 2 hours then I need more food.  The vet says only 2 TBSP at a time so I don't get over excited and make myself get the pukes.   We are hoping for a better tomorrow, but mama is still waiting to hear about the test things they did.   We should hear Monday.    :xfinger:  The mean vet guy came to look at me today and I let him know I was not happy with what he did to my mouth!  But he was nice and gave me this tasty stuff in a tube.   Boy, that was yummy and made my tummy feel good.  My mean mom hid all my balls and rawhides and anything else chewy.   :BangHead:  Please send help soon, I dont know how long I can survive the abuse occurring here.  Mama said Santa Paws will treat me real good this year!

Mom's Update: Porky's vet was concerned about the tummy issues Porky was having today and he suggested coconut milk yogurt since Porky can't handle dairy of any kind.   We weren't able to find any as our health food store is sold out till Wednesday! So, the vet stopped by with some probiotic paste to try.  No tummy issues since 2 this afternoon, so it seems to be working!!   :apls:  Porky is less than thrilled with his food, unless I give him the smoothie I make.  He is constantly begging for more food and making me feel really guilty. Him wanting to play ball, was a great sign.

Poor baby! It's so horrible when they are sick and hurting. He sounds like he is on the mend though. Slow but sure wins the race! Hang in there Porky (and Mom!). We want to know where you keep  finding these vets that will stop by your house and especially on a weekend! We'll move there!  :thumb:

He can have eggies.  Technically, its not dairy. Its just in the dairy food group.    The eggies were one of the things sticking though, so we had to take them out of the smoothies.

If Porky gets too under weight maybe the vet could coach you on how to tube feed as a last resort of course. papbouv

I think he will be okay. He is eating really well now and we are back to the tooth brushing.  I think both of us are dreading the tooth brushing.   He is going to get a dose of pain meds before I even try it.  I sure hope he can handle it.  We checked his weight this morning and he is holding steady at 10 pounds.  :apls:   Porky was feeling pretty good this morning and keeps playing with my nephew's Christmas gift.  We got Andrew the new cookie monster toy, that counts the cookies, and Porky keeps running over to bump the box so it talks.  So funny!!   :2funny:  Once it starts to talk Porky sits in front of it tilting his head back and forth.  Cutest thing ever!  So I'm sure if its Porky approved my 20-month old nephew will love it.
