Hi everyone.  I loved sharing puppyhood withnthis board.  Not sure when life got in the way, but it has a habbit of doing that!

My name is Jodi, and I have a black n tan longhaired names Sebastian.  He is a wonderful boy who brought me soo much joy.  Now, he is getting up there and the other day I realized that it is time to start thinking about his age and is comfort. 

We live in Brooklyn, and i am going out of town for a few weeks.  I have some friends who will care for him while I am gone, but I want to have someone care for him that will take him home and keep him company.  Can anyone recommend a pet sitter that is reliable?  There are tons of pet sitters in my area, but they all charge so much.  I think 300 is more than fair for two weeks, but it seems they all want significantly more.  I think I will start pet sitting when I get home!  It seems to be a very fruitful venture.

Btw, my boy is sweet, and cute, snd he has hardly any gray hair.  He is going deaf, which has curbed his barking, which is kind of  like a good thing. . . , and his vision is not great, but I think he is doing very well for his age.  I credit his health to quality dog food, tons of love and a very  pampered life.

Hope everyone here has as wonderful a life with their dachs as i have had with mine.   I love my little boy so much.

Glad to see you back !  Having a girl that is 15 1/2 - really makes you think about what THEY need to be comfortable!  I am nowhere near you, so hoping you are able to find someone you feel comfortable with !!!  Are you on Facebook?
