All ok here in PA. Last night we had a few tornado warnings and spent about an hour in the basement. Other than some water in the basement, doing good.
Check in everyone when you get power!

FINALLY back on the grid!

The power went out Saturday night about 11:30 and stayed off until 4 am today. On Monday I took the Herd to the vet clinic to get shots, heartworm check and a little drama and trauma - the Dr. Beau Leaky edition.

In order to visualize this, first: think of the book Gulliver's Travels. Now imagine I'm Gulliver and the Herd members are the Lilliputians, and their leashes are the ropes. Got the picture?

Then Dr. L decides he has to assert his need to be alpha. Normally Merlin's reaction to Beau's bluff or snarling is, "Yeah, right. Whatever . . ." This time he decides to see Beau's ante and call him on it. AND . . . the fight is on!

They have each other's ears, they're on hind legs doing a pas de deux, and in the closest chair to the desk is a frantic woman trying to get her Bichon Frise to stay out of the line of fire. The little tyke keeps peeking out and she keeps pushing him behind her legs. The death stare daggers are stabbing me in the neck, and all I wanna do is LEAVE! The vet tech snatches Beau, I drag Merlin and his bleeding ear out of the office and I think to myself, "This is ANOTHER reason I'm not taking you two to Israel. They've got their hands full with Hamas. They don't need you two as well!"

Now power's on, Guinness is snoring on my bed and the boys and Aima are outside, enjoying the sunrise.

Someone pass the Jack Daniels - please.

Keren

I'm doing much better with dachshunds and rabbits."
