I'm an avid fan of a 1960's western, The Big Valley. You can find me in the "Virtual Valley" at The Writing Desk, home of great BV fan fiction. I've written quite a bit there but not recently. I've been there for a long time, but here the longest. This was the first place I found on the internet when I was a new fan to the Internet many moons ago.

I have recently started taking part in the BackyardChickens.com forum. My coworker, who lives one street over from me, and I now own a small flock of seven chickens. They live at her house, but Schatzi has seen them once and would love to have a chicken dinner if we would let her. I am the chief research person and the forum on that site is awesome.

Pssst! Schatzi, dis is Bonnie! Les git us sum chickeeee, whaddya say? Well actually, I've never tasted a chickeee, but my sissy Madderoo did. She got in BIG trubbo for it too. Grandpa wasn't too thrilled with the Madderoo trying to eat his prized chickies.

Bonnie, I would LOVE to get the chickees, but there are seven of them, and they are starting to get big AND there are TWO cats at the place where they stay and it is my buddy Murphy's house. My doxie A.D.D. makes it very hard for me to concentrate on just the chickees. They are in a fence anyway, and they buried part of it. They said it was to make it raccoon proof, but I think the were making it doxie proof. Mama did promise me some eggs from the chickees once they start laying them.

Teresa - I have a friend who owns a feed store with her husband and is obsessed with her chickens !!! I will post the site you mentioned on Facebook and see if she knows about it !
