This is my first wiener dog as a kid my grandparents had them and i used to think who would want such a rotten dog all they used to do was growl at all of us !! 
Now i wouldn't have any other kind i love my little doxie so much , but let me tell you she doesn't like little kids!! What a brat she is she chases my niece around the house trying to bite her ankles!  But i wouldn't trade her for the world!!

Welcome to Wiener Writings from Oklahoma I'm the door person for Patches she is a 4year old Tweenie  (14#) long Haired Red Dachshund when we first got her she had patches on her since faded away so her name stuck. She has a big brother he is a honorary dachshund he is a black and rust Doberman  he is also 4 years old he weighs 90#.
how old is your Fur Kid. ? Maybe you can train her to get along with kids. Papbouv ( yes use to have Bouvier's & a Papillon.)
