While the puppers are sleeping here at home in the warmth of the house and keeping Dad company, my sister and I will be heading over to Couer d'Alene, Idaho for the AKC Dog Show.  There was also a show in Spokane on Saturday and Sunday but we didn't go to that one.  Our brother and sister-in-law are AKC Judges and they are both judging at the Couer d'Alene show.  We will be there all day tomorrow and probably half a day today.  My brother will be judging the Hound Group....and long-hair, smooth and wirehaired doxies are all entered.  We did visit yesterday for a while and on Wednesday, we have a mini-family reunion planned.

That sounds like sooooo much fun!

Say hello to my friend Virginia while you're there!  She's showing three longhaired dogs, I think.  Jigsaw (cream ), Echo (black/tan dapple) and Journey (red long).  She's super friendly and so are her dogs, so if you want some cuddles after, I'm sure they'll oblige.

Kathleen, a red long hair doxie took first place in the Hound Group.  Didn't get Best of Show but looked really good!  I took some pictures, will have to download them.  Will be back there tomorrow and plan to be there for the doxies showing.

According to Virginia, that was not Journey.  Journey was winners [censored] today for a point, but didn't take the breed.  Echo was reserve winners dog.

I did meet Virginia today.  I initially asked if she was "Victoria" (for some reason I had that name in my brain) and she said Virginia and then the "light bulb" came on.  I told her that I knew you from the WW board.  The three doxies that she had were just beautiful.  I did take some pictures of them along with Virginia while they were in the ring.  I looked for her based on your description of the doxies!  Yesterday, my brother was judging the hound group....today, my sister-in-law judged the hound group.

How was the show?

The show was good.  Watched as both my brother and sister-in-law did their judging duties. My brother judged the hounds yesterday and today it was my sister-in-law.  Today, I was there to watch all the doxies so I really got my doxie fix being away from my two boys.  I took several pictures of the doxies until my camera battery died or as the message on the camera said...."battery exhausted".   With my brother and sister-in-law here, we are having a mini family get together at my sister's house tomorrow now that the dog show is over.  They leave on Thursday heading back to California.
