Of course, dachshunds are "clever, lively and courageous to the point of rashness" according to the AKC. It's just our height that keeps us from the front lines!!

Warning for anyone who watches the clip......the comments may raise your blood pressure big time.

Too many heard the word shelter and assume the owners are dumping the dog there because they cannot be bothered!! 

Considering the effort they put trying to find him that is really stupid!  They have no home to live in.  They are trying to get a place to live!!  What are they supposed to do with Mason.  This is not just a question of it being inconvenient for them, but they are trying to survive!! I am praying they do not read the comments at the YOU tube site!!  There are some positive and very nice comments, as well as some "deserved" flaming of the ones with nasty messages for the family.
I pray the family gets a place to live and get Mason back.  At this point he really does not need to be even more stressed by getting hauled around from place to place while they are finding a place to live!!

Sorry for the rant, but I can just feel that family's pain if they read those nasty comments!!

 That sounds like a great idea!!  There are some very supportive comments, but no one who has been through the H that they have with the tornado needs that kind of nasty comments!!
