My boy Zack is celebrating his 17th birthday.  I can't believe it is that long ago that we had that litter of puppies. He became my bred by, owner, handler Champion.  I am so proud of him.    Last year we took him to the specialty and he got shown in the veterans parade and got a big rosette with his name on it.

He got some eggs and honey/brown sugar sausage this morning and tonight he got so canned with yogurt as a special treat.
Of course while we were gone to dinner tonight he had to skinned his nose all up on the crate. He just started doing this. I am trying to figure out what to put him in or cover the crate with to keep him from doing it.

He will also be getting lots of snuggles in bed tonight now that we are done for the day.

A very happy barkday to Zack!  I'm sure Max-angel would heartily approve of Zack as a worthy successor to the Senior Weiner title. 

Having been owned by a 17 year old myself, you realize at this point in their lives that each day is a blessing.   Heck, for that matter, every day with our furkids, regardless of age, is a blessing.

I am in LOVE with that sweet gray face!  He looks wonderful! And yes you should be very proud, not only did he do well in the ring he's made it to 17! Awesome! It sounds like he had the best birthday a doxie boy could dream of. Give him a hug for me!

He made it to 17 !!!  I bet Granny Twinkie and Moma Zelda are both up at rainbow bridge cheering him on!!

He broke the 15 1/2 year jinx!!

I am now hoping he will make it to DCA in May!  Bet he will surprise the Kostics if they are at the show!!
