The puppy I sold to a show home in New Mexico started off her show career this weekend with a bang.  She was second in her class yesterday, but today won her class and then was winners [censored] and best of winners for her first two points toward her AKC championship.   I cannot tell you how thrilled I am, both for her owner and for me.  One of the puppies from my very first litter is already pointed at 6 months old!  She just became eligible 6 days ago.  I've been bouncing off the walls since I heard! Funny thing was, I told her owner before this four day weekend of showing that she had a shot with 3 of the 4 judges.  The one she won under today was the one I told her she had no shot with.  :2funny:

Congratulations to you and please tell the new Mom of your pup too.

That is awesome and you have every right to be proud! How often will she be able to show her? Are there many shows close to where she lives?
It is dog show weekend here in Greenville, too. They have three days of shows, sponsored by three different clubs,  so a lot of people are in town for them since they can get several points in one weekend. There were almost 1600 dogs registered for this weekend and last summer there were close to 3,000! Randy and I went Friday morning to look at the French Bulldogs again and talk to some of the breeders. I think we will have one by the end of the year. I, of course, had to look at the doxies, too, and saw some gorgeous ones.

Whoooo! That is amazing. I can only imagine how that would feel as the breeder. You did it right! LOL you are right there are no second guessing the judges. Congrats!

I just had to laugh-I just saw the winners "censored" and realized that the female dog name was struck out.  How funny.   :2funny:

Thank you very much-I'm so proud of Kali and her owner and her owners mom (who showed her).   Theresa, I'm not really sure how often she'll be able to show her.  She has to travel a lot more than I do, and she'll have to put more money into it as a result, with hotels and long distance travel expenses.  She is showing now in Denver, CO, and I know she only has one show total within 4 hours of her house.   Meanwhile, I can show at a dozen shows a year within 2 hours of my house.   She's still just a baby-just turned 6 months on Sunday last week, and her little friend that is showing with her is only 3 weeks older.   They have a lot of time yet to mature and grow, but so far they're having fun with it, and for puppies that age, that's what counts.

Oh, wow!  Congrats to you and her proud new mama!  That is so wienerful!

She was reserve winners female today!  Not bad for a baby.  Thanks everyone for your kind words.  I'm over the moon!  :headbang:
