This was in my hometown newspaper today - anyone who's ever had a dachshund can imagine how easily this could happen.  What a brave little sweetie.

Good deal glad they at least they knew where to look for the dog very glad they got it out just doing what Doxies were bred to do.Glad for the good out come.

thanks for posting this. It is really amazing how communities can pull together to rescue a pet, child or even wild animals!!

Very thankfully they were by Lake Michigan!!  Within a day or two of that Eau Claire, WI temps were as cold as 20 degrees BELOW zero!!
