She went out as the volunteer with the local community health "MOUNTAIN BIKING" you would think someone at 57 would have more sense, she has not been on a bike for 35 years...............Well you guessed it she came off.................So we get to play nursie and dr.

Yes guys I went well up hill then on the way back down I had to manuver between two trees then turn a quick right, well the quick right did'nt happen, the bike hit the tree and I hit the ground hard on my right hip and hit my head, but I did have my riding helmet on. I got on and got down to the car park, then we took them swimming, I went in as the water was cold. But by the time I got out the bus an hour later it was difffrent story.............nothing broken , other than pride and avery badly bruised hip and thigh so Ollie my love no walks for a few days. I will revisit to-morrow if it is not good I will go to the ER. Lucky my Mum lives near by she came over and helped me out the car. And Oliver I am not 57 till May.

All in all it was great I did enjoy myself................but what brought a smile was Sue who I go out with is 10 years younger but she was the one who just made it.

Poor Roberta. Sounds humiliating but I say KUDOS to you! You TRIED! You got way further than I would have and I'm only 48. :thumb:

Might check it out found out i had a fracture in my hip showed up on an x-ray did not know it was fractured or when it was fractured it pops some of the time now that I'm 61 it does give me problems now. Ice & elevation may help.Papbouv

thanks, to-day the swelling has gone down significantly, due to I already take high doses of anti imflams for arthritis. My sister cracked her pelvis years ago and as she says they can do nothing much for it other than rest. Nick has looked and can see where my bruise is going to be, no pictures will follow. Last night the panadeine plus a couple of drinks aided sleep.....................
We did go for a walk along flat ground it give Ollie his fix for the day, Ill leave hills for a day or two.
My birthday is 14th of May.
i may still look at getting a bike, but no more hijinxs for me.

Ouch! Major tumble for Mom and can't even blame the kids this time. That sounds really painful I am disappointed to hear no pictures forthcoming

glad you didn't crack something and hey 57 isn't old and sounding younger every year! Take it easy and rest and stay off the bikes for a while stick to Clydesdales!

Ouchie is right! I'm so sorry you fell and hurt yourself, but I'm not sorry you share your birthday with my lovely sister... May 14!! I'll never forget your birthday, Roberta.
