Update for Hilde?

How is our patient today?  You must be worried sick.

She is doing, I think, a little better.  When I picked her up last night dr. showed me her Xray.  There is a section around her lower lung which might be part of her intestines.  It may, also, just be air that has gotten in through one of her many puncture wounds.  So, right now, we are checking resp's and gums every 2 hours.  This morning I dropped her off at the vet, they will do the checking.  She is on tramadol for pain and clamavox which is an antibiotic.  I don't know, yet, if she will be able to make the trip to Michigan to see my sister for Christmas.  Hopefully, I'll know today.  Thanks everyone for the rays and good thoughts.  I'll keep you posted.

oh, dag, I'm not sure I would travel with her--what a hard decision for you.
(Not for me, 'cause I'll happily skip Christmas anytime. bah humbug.)

Ohhh this just makes me crazy I am SO sorry! Poor Hilde. This is very good news though she is getting better! But to think of the trauma to her little body... I hope she will get to make the Christmas trip it would be really good for you both.
