It is with much sadness in my heart that I must let the kingdom know that their King has passed on to the Rainbow Bridge.  It was time, and it was painless.  I got to hold him the whole time.  The tears are more for me, the loss of my bestest buddy may never dim, but I know he had a wonderful life, and 10 more years than he could have had we not opted for back surgery.

I know you will all be sending us rays which I truly appreciate.  King Sol had many friends, and will be healthy, happy, and hunting with his grandpa up in heaven.

Thanks for all your support, I love this board.

Well, I guess we will somehow.

King Sol, we will meet you at the bridge - say hello to Roscoe, Cooper and Becky for me.

It was also the post I didn't want to open and read. I was afraid things weren't good when he got sick this time, but, he went peacefully, knew was loved more than anything in this world and that is what is important. I do not think it was coincidence that Max came into your life, and Kirby's life when he did, and I smile as I wonder exactly what Sol WAS telling him in that picture you took last weekend. We will all remember Sol. He was the first doxie who got my attention when I joined this board and I still have stories somewhere that I printed out about him. He introduced Schatzi to Greenies and, for that, she will always be grateful.
May your memories of Sol bring you laughter during the sad times. Randy, Teresa and Schatzi

Give the Kirbster and Max lots of snuggles and a big hug from all of us to you. Sol could not have had a better family or more love.

RIP little guy. My sincere condolences. I had not heard that his majesty passed away. I am thankful that he is not in pain any more. I know that my Little Bit met him along with many others at the Bridge.
Have a nice day!

So sorry to hear about King Sol. He was a very big part of this board and will be dearly missed. Even though it doesn't feel like it right now ... time really will dull the pain. So sorry.

Mike

My condolences on Sol's crossing the Bridge.  He reigned long and well and taught all his subjects to love one another.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Sorry that you lost Sol but glad you were able to hold him!!   When I lost Twinkie it was very important to me that she not be home alone when it happened! She was not, and for that I am very thankful.  I am sure he appreciated your being there also!! It is so very hard to our doxies!!  BUT there comes a time when we need to let them go.  He was very blessed to have you for his family!!

I still think of my Twinkie angel passing and hard to believe it has been over 8 years ago now!!  I bet she and the Z's  from central WI have all come to welcome him to Rainbow Bridge!!  I admit to having this image in my mind of a special place "town" up there full of doxies AND people from Dachshund Circus and the groups and boards  that started from that!

I think its already been said - I have not been on the board much at all as you can see, but I remember kings post from way back when stinky baby dog was new I was in CA then, and loved to hear the updates from those 2 - I got time to get online today and checked and I am actually tearing up a bit...  I am sorry for your loss, but know he had the most wonderful life - nobody could have done better for the king!!
eagles may soar, but weasels do not get sucked into jet engines...  just chased by dachshunds!
