Jus' wanted to apologize for being so absent lately. Between computer issues and mama being so busy twying to find work and taking care of gwammy, we jus' negwected all of yous. Eben when we are absent we still fink of yous and send rays for da sickies.

I'm twying to be a good boy for my mama, but dat cupboard wif da trash can in it is soooo tempting.

Its way kewl dat I can open dat door by myself, but my mama and gwammy don't like it. I hasn't been biting lately eidder. Da 'haviorist says I'm a fear biter. Whateber dat means!!

Anyways...iffen we works on my fears, I don't bite. I've been doing good wif eberyfing 'cept da stay off da furniture fing. I likes my mama's warm lap when its cold. So wez talked to the 'haviorist and she said we could do laps agin when Iz invited up. If I get up when I'm not invited, the hoomans hab to put me down. :verdict: I fink dats not fair. Also I've been missing my Nebwaska gwammies and gwampies, so wez going to see dem in a few weeks for Franksgibing and my daddy's birfday. :apls: I can't wait to see my buddy Bandit eidder!!!

Wez going hab a big wrestling party. Las' time I saw him wez got in a tiff, so we need to say sowwy and be fwiends agin. But, hey cousins are apposed to fight once on awhile right? Eber heard of da Hatfields and McCoys?!

Da fight was my fault acuz I twied to get in Bandit's kennel wif him. He told me no politely, but I kept on going in. So he growleded at me. OOOPS!!!!

Odder den all dat stuff, life has been good. Its a lot colder here den it was in 'Braska, so my mama is going to hab to buy me boots so I can get my 1 hour of walkies eberyday. I don't fink eidder one of us will like dose fings.

I still hab my ball my mama bought me when we moved here. Dats a wecord for me! Anyways....I gotta go, lots of napping under my bwankies ya know.

Glad you only get to watch them deers they look nice but would kill a dog in a heart beat they have very sharp hooves.Nice just to watch from a safe place.Yes need a video of you wearing your new booties.

We are keeping Porky far away from these deer. I know many stories of people being attacked by them, so I would never risk it with Porky. I always do a quick sweep of the yard to make sure its deer free before we go out. Very cool to see them though.

As to all the video requests, I don't have a video camera so that won't be possible, but I can definitely take pictures if we choose to go that route.

Rudy-angel used to chase deer. The deer always took off. I had to pull him back when he actually cornered a deer against a tennis court. Another time, Margie and I were in the woods with Rudy, Max and Rusty. A small pack of four deer came towards us at full speed. I could not believe how quickly they covered the 200 yards between us and them. At the last second, about 15 yards out, all the deer made a U-Turn and retreated at the same speed.

Likewise, I've been on my mountain bike moving along at 12 to 15 mph, had a deer run parallel to me, pull ahead about 20 yards and then cut across the trail. Very cool.

I remember visiting House on the Rock in southern WI with a girlfriend and her family. I think it was when we were on the way back on Hwy 51 and thankfully it was a part of the hwy which was divided. We we looking at oncoming traffic and saw a SUV hit a deer(but barely). The frightening part was the buck turned and was running along next to the SUV and literally tried to ram it!!

Luckily the other traffic all got way out of the way, and after a short while the deer finally went off the road! But lucky for you David you did not apparently threaten your deer, or it could have been nasty on a trail bike. We have lots of deer accidents in northern WI.

I have hit 2 deer in my life even with deer whistles on all vehicles(except when I had the first one). The first one I swear my guardian angel was watching out for me! I drove a lynx wagon. I was on Hwy 51, I did not see the deer until he was about a foot to the left of my car, no way to escape. He hit the front, sprung the hood, which flew up against the windshield, and he then hit the hood again against the windshield before going up and over the back of the wagon. I literally pulled over to the shoulder by looking through those little slats by where the hood was mounted! This was pre cell phone era. So I sat at the side of the road, flashers on for close to an hour. Then it was getting close to dusk, so I turned motor on, pushed hood back down so I could see out of the window and drove very slowly back to town! I was right on the Marathon/Portage county line. Did not even think about which place I had to report it. Got to sisters, and we called the cops. We decided I was probably just over the county line in Marathon county. I was so shook up I did not realize until I was on the last street to turn off for the mobile home park that I didn't seem to have much in the way of lights. I knew the deer took out the drivers side head light but he also took out the other headlight too. But if he had not sprung the hood and somehow pushed it up and over the windshield, he would have been right thru the windshield!!
