The 60+ weather certainly helped.  They got to go outside and RUN!  There was no stopping them.  Both are off the anti-immflamitories and looking good.  Loki's new job is to eat ALL the cat poo and ALL the fallen quinces in the yard.  They got to dig a little, roll around and were generally Energizer--make that BEZERKER--doggies all weekend long.  We even had a nap in the big bed while momma held their leashes.

On chat, Roberta suggested that I trim the hair on Zuzu's feet to avoid slipping on the hardwood floor.  I wondered aloud if maybe the slippy floor has aggravated their backs. She agreed that it can't be a good thing. Anyone hear anything from a vet on this?

p.s. on the immflamitories, we now have a house rule that if a doggie has a bad day and needs meds, they get it for three days no matter what.  Your opinion?

Thanks Leslie and Roberta..... the lightbulb just went off in my head.  We have hardwood floors too, and Bridget had never had problems with her back before we moved into this house.  Joydog, our lab, has had much worse problems with her hip dysplasia as well, so that has GOT to have something to do with it...... Looks like lots of area rugs in our house!

We have hardwood floors and after Rudy's first episode a couple years ago -now have  runners all over. Looks like a patchwork quilt...but what the hay !!!!   Slipping and sliding is not a good thing.  It will help to get the rugs !
