I have been scarce the last year or so, one of the reasons is work (bummer, but ya gotta do it !) and the other is a project that I have been involved with.  There is still some work to do on the website, and hopefully by the end of the month, will be sending out a mass e-mail to announce it....but I wanted to share with you first !!!

OMG!  AWESOME....God Bless you all!!!!!  This is truly FANTASTIC!!!!!  I am speechless...this is ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!!!!  Please tell Jethro's mommy that I have donated the Wall Hanging/Rug that I won off of ebay to raise money for Jethro's surgery to All American Dachshund Rescue for their Nashville Picnic Fundraiser this May.  I sent Jethro's picture and story along with it and asked that they hold a raffle in Jethro's memory/honor to help raise money for other doxie babies needing lifesaving medical care!!!!  Barb, this is totally WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is so very cool!  The photos I took of the rug/wall hanging were some of the last ones I took of Jethro.  I love that it's going on to help other doxies in need. Sisterhood of the travelling rug, lol!

2010 Annual Dachsie Derby Picnic

   

This is our annual picnic fundraiser held every year in TN. This year's event will be at Nashville Shores at the Sycamore Pavallion. Rain or Shine!

This is a much anticipated part of the year in which members, supporters, and dachshund lovers can come together with their doxies and have a full day of fun and socialization. There will be games, prizes, and a great time for the whole family!

Volunteers Needed

If you are in the area or plan on attending, please consider volunteering to make this day a success! You do NOT have to be an AADR member to help or attend.

If you can't attend, please consider donating items to be auctioned off or a giftcard so that we can purchase much needed items for the picnic. Whether the amount be for $5.00 or $50, it will make a huge different in the lives of the dachshunds this picnic will be helping!
