Zac has a herniated butt mum calls it the technical name anus. So he is going into surgery next mon, and our auntie Jane is upset as he is 12 and never been under aneasthetic before, plus his own vet would not  do the op as he says its trickie and he has to go  to a town about 2 hours away, so Aunie Jane is going to camp there overnight.

mum here. My sister is beside herself wondering if she is doing the right thing putting him throught it. I have said wait till she speaks to the vet who is operating and wait till they assess Zac. He has never been under, so she is fearful at his age. She is going to take a week off and i have said we can have him up here after that if need be. Zac is half Pappion and chiuawa (spelling) and recovering from a cruciate ligament plus Lallan (horse) who done something to his leg and now getting better...............Jane is stressed.
Please say a prayer.

Jane had been giving him oil for a week and at the end of it the pouch has gone. Her Vet John, has suggested due to his age they put of the surgery and go with the oil everyother day and she has managed to work out how much to give him so he does not get the runs. Plus roasting chicken legs for his dinner seems to go through him well. He will get vitamin injections as well. The thought speaking to the other vet the outcomes of these OPs are not to good ie infection, reconnecting bowel etc. He is a lot happier in himself the past few days, that is until he chased the Alpacas that chased him the week before and his cruciate is playing up again.
So the rays must have helped. Its poor Jane who is in need of a cuddle.........she had been sleeping on the floor for the past month so he does not jump and can get out easily.
