Oh Tristan,

We thinks that your baby sister, Ivy, and our baby brudder, Earl, must SOMEHOW be related!!! He is the trubble maker in our group.....always gettin' into something and ALWAYS buggin' us, specially Duggie!  I, Sarge, am the King and Earl leaves me alone....iffen he don't, I scold him and chase him!! I'll even do it, if Duggie asks for help.  And, know what else......he's a climber, too!  Mom has caught him on da table when Dad forgot to push his chair in all da way and he climbs fences (at least the gates that Mom has put up)!  He use to be confined to the kitchen when Mom and Dad left, cuz he likes to party and he takes all our beds and moves them around, turning them upside down and moving our blankies all over the place, if anything is left in his reach, he claims it.  He even destroyed one of our beds and one of our ramps.  Anyway, getting back to his climbing, Mom and Dad put him in the kitchen after he came to our house when they both went somewhere. Duggie and I have the run of the house......we're GOOD boys.  Well, when Mom and Dad came home, instead of TWO doggies watching out the window for them.....there were THREE!   Earl climbed up and over a gate that was 39 inches high.....Mom said no more of that.  So now all the doors to the bedrooms, etc., get closed and we have the run of the living room, dining room and kitchen......and sometimes Earl is a good boy but not always.  Mom and Dad have come to expect some kind of clean up (of moving beds back, etc.....nothing else) when they come home.  He is tryin' really hard to be a good boy but he still is a baby!

A) She jumped on the chair and then onto the table.  :headbang: Lesson to live by: ALWAYS PUSH THE CHAIRS IN!!!! :verdict:

B)  Dachshund: a German dog, originally called a Berghund or Mountain dog.  Especially adept at climbing, leaping, jumping and were used extensively by the Swiss for tunneling under the Alps. :2funny:

C)  That's what I call the "ITAPO" look - "Is There A Problem, Officer?"

You poor soul Gail....................you've got a climber, or is it a ADD (attention deficate disorder)...........Oliver is ours. But that look of indigbation "What no ramp to get down, no need to bother for the way up mum" or "mum I thought JUMP only meant for jumping down"
I suppose she could be called "climbing Ivy"

Attention Deficit Disorder spelling is not to good at the start of the day or is that the hands.................The good thing Gail is they tend to stay slim as they are always on the move.

heh heh heh. Yup It's yer own fault. Shoulda named her Peanut or Sugar.
I'll never forget the first week or so we had Loki.  I came down the stairs to see a certain B&T doggie on the kitchen table, stealing a banana.  She just froze in place, wearing a big yellow smile, the little booger.
Soooo....................good luck with Ivy.  Ya gotta push the chairs in!

Madderoos Mom

Ha!  This brings back memories of my dear little Gidget.....long before coming to this board.  She was a wee little thing but she could climb!  She and sissy Dixie slept in the kitchen....way before dachsies in the big bed .  Often we would hear the most pitiful cries only to go in and check and see Miss Pidge doing a table dance and wanting to be let down.

Miss Dolly was good on the table too and we had to be diligent with pushing in the chairs.  I think Bonnie COULD hop up but she has never tried.  She's my good child.  Maddie says, "Why bother".

Is there anything cuter than an indignant Dachshund?  I THINK NOT.
