A very special package from Green Acres

I finally got the battery back for my camera and took some pics of the gorgeous quilts Dee made and sent us! I couldn't believe my eyes when I opened the package, it must have taken her ages and the patterns are wonderful. The quilts are just the right size and we've taken them with us visiting friends, etc, we've shown them to everyone and they've had tons of compliments. we curl up in them on the couch. Hallie is snuggled up in hers right now I didn't even have to pose her for the photo. In fact she is laying on another blanket from Greenacres! Thank you SO much Dee (and the boys I'm sure they helped choose colors) that was such a wonderful surprise these will be treasured for the rest of our lives. My hat is off to you Dee I could never do this in a million years!

It's obvious Hallie approves too. When I first took them out of the package she was immediatelyh on them and making herself a nest. She hasn't been far from them since.

You can't see it well in the photo I took but Hallie's quilt says "Princess" on it in little rhinestones....Dee how did you do that I LOVE it!

Are'nt you a lucky pair  , and rhinestones Ms H and all that had been quality controlled by the green acre crew. Great job Dee, love the doggy (ms H that'sn your mum's quilt we all know you ae not a DOG) fabric. Quilts say so much don't they, from the maker and the recipient.

I thought of wee Amy when taking these pictures of  Hallie  on her quilt Roberta, I was thinking how similar it looked to the pics you post! I just don't know how you and Dee make these beautiful quilts, it really is a talent I couldn't do it, I tried sewing stuff before and I end up with a mess!

We are so glad that you like them!  The pics will go in the book that I am keeping of the quilts that I have completed!  As I was shopping for more fabric....I found the Rhinestone princess wording and knew that it would be perfect for Hallie's quilt!  It was premade and only required to be applied with heat from the iron.

Those are the perfect gifts for the two of you-something to snuggle up in together! I love both of them and Hallie's is just perfect for the princess doxie that she is!
You are doing a great job on the quilts, Dee. Our church has been making quilts to send to Swaziland, which is in the southern part of Africa and I am determined to go one Saturday and work on them. I will have to aim for doing it next month, for sure.
