Warning to all Dachshunds if you play in the mud

I was minding my own business in my backyard and a squirrel was on the fence telling me off so my big brother & I chased it down the fence until it went away but like a good hunting dog I went back and forth up & down the fence to make sure it did not sneak back. Well how was I suppose to know when the snow melts it makes a mushy mud I was just protecting my house from the squirrels. Well Mom took one look at me I had been to the mud spa I had it on my paws,legs ,belly and about everywhere Mom not happy. Heck I heard humans pay big bucks to sit in mud so what is the difference. They left went to a store came back with straw put it on top of the mud.Of course I had to go smell the straw I always check out any thing new in my yard. Well Mom picked me up set the grooming table up in the garage brushed me good then Mom carried me in the house put me in the sink. Yep I got a bath shampooed down twice then Mom put cream rinse on me.Then she used the blower on the vacuum cleaner to dry me she said I had to get a bath or I would not be sleeping with her in the big bed. That darn big brother of mine all he got was a damp towel to wipe his feets he did not have to get a bath but he would not fit in the sink anyway maybe I need to be bigger so I will not fit in the sink?Patches

Oliver here, I feel your pain, I get "DONE" in da laundry trough every morning when I come in from my walk. I fink Patches its gotta somfin to do wiff havin short leggies and big footies and with me a fluffy butt. If I'm real bad ie horse poo its da shower, which is worse coss do ya know it rains when you step ito da glass square.
