ice storms, freezing fog and snow too deep to see a dachsie in.  One line motorway traffic all through France, stuck in the Channel tunnel a million miles under the sea between France and England.....slipping and sliding up England to Scotland......many prayers along the way and we arrived at Nana´s yesterday!

Guess what?  Nana kept all our Christmas pressies un der the tree and didn´t eat a single piggy ear or anything so we are having a special Christmas for us now.  Mum and Dad are on Whisky tranquillizers and Mum says she´s never doing the drive again in Winter and we say she has to because we have to get back to Spain with the car......

Nana and Dad have dug out a racetrack in the snow in the garden and we get security lights when we go out so we don´t run into the frozen lake in the garden.  Mum says it´s not like swimming in the Mediterranean.

Love to all our pals everywhere, hope YOU were where you should have been at Christmas and Father Christmas found you safe and well.

Will check in again when we can, Nana´s `puter is a bit poorly.

Better late than never, eh?  Glad you made it safely.  I had wondered if you were affected by the tunnel probems.  Have a wee dram for me.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Glad you made it there finally and safely.
When I heard about the tunnel problems I was hoping you wouldn't run into it but it looks like you did.

Those tranquilizers sound like just the thing!!!! :thumb:

Enjoy yourselves.

If I were a passenger on your trip, I would have been drinking double whiskey tranquilizers DURING the traveling part.  YIKES!  We read about the Chunnel problems.  Sounds crazy. Glad you're safe and sound now.  I'm glad your Nana didn't eat your pig ears.  Hope the trip home isn't as eventful.

Glad to hear a safe bound from a rough, cold road. Waiting too for late Christmas piccies, especially that run on ice race track... ;)

we will certainly have a wee dram or two for you!  Feel so exhausted today - I think the fear adrenaline was keeping us going till we arrived and we have flopped now.

The tunnel thing was awful; I am pretty claustrophobic and the usual trip inside the car inside the train inside the tunnel is only 35 minutes and quite bearable.  Boy did we get a nasty shock this time.....

We´re slowly catching up on news and see the US is bad and much of UK too.  Pray everybody is snug and warm.
Don´t know when we´ll brave the return journey yet.

Wee drams and dachsie snuggles are sooooo therapeutic though.

Sounds like a real white knuckle drive.   :meme:  Glad you made it OK.  Be careful going home.

I don't know how you did it....being claustrophobic and all.  Have a wonderful time visiting your family for the Holidays and have a very safe trip home!!!!
