Mama put me outside dis morning about 10 AM and I slid down da ramp, went potty, took a dwink of ice water den couldn't get back up da wamp.  I twied and twied and twied, but kept sliding back down. Finally mom put some Kosher salt on the ramp and I got up.  Dat was weally fun.

Marcia here when we got up this morning it was raining, but there was no ice anywhere so I let Danni out, but later for some reason  the ramp got a coating of water and froze.  Poor Danni slid down to the sidewalk about 3 feet, but was OK.  She did her business and yes drank water from a puddle of ice water and tried to get back up the ramp to the porch.  Poor baby tried again and again to get up the ramp, but kept sliding back down.  Sorry, but it was funny because each time she slid back she would lengthen the space between her and the ramp and get a running start trying to get up.  After trying to help her and not getting any results I put down some Kosher salt and left it to melt some of the ice(I told her to wait til I came back).  I went to get my coat and go help her Danni was on the porch waiting for me.  She was fine and ready for a baby carrot.

Don't worry Dee Dee she is fine.  She's one tough kid and will take on any challenge.   Yesterday she had her first trip to the groomer for a nail trim and even though she cried a bit she was no worse  for wear.  AND she got a treat when she got home.

dis is Parker: we musta got da same weather. It was real slippery here too, but Momma took me back inside. She seen me swipping and was worried I might pull a leg muscle, as if  :crazyeyes: :crazyeyes:

LOL LOL I can just picture that! And how nice...no worries about hurting her back! (the only doxie drawback!). She does sound like a determined little girl that is a good quality to have, and she's very brave getting her toes done for such a tiny thing, has she been weighed lately?

She weighs about 10vpounds, but is all legs.  Will pos new picyures soon.

She's weighing more than I thought she would! She's almost up to Hallie's weight. That's good though if she were too small she'd be more fragile.

[Lowriders in Ohio]

We had really icey weather in Ohio this morning also.  Cale's morning commute home from work took nearly 2 hours instead of the usual hour.  In a comical, and thankfully harmless move, Cyrus slid right off the deck when Cale let him out this morning.  Thanks goodness basenjis are pretty limber and not prone to back injury.  I think his pride suffered a slight injury though.

Hahaha....poor Danni!!!  So sorry to be laughing but I had this visual.....you are one determined young lady...thank goodness your momma is so smart and put the salt down!!
