FYI

I posted Baby to the DRNA website last week.

I now have not one...but two...very promissing applications for her...and as always, I'm very selective about where I send my dogs.

How would you feel about doing a home visit in Union KY?

I have that visit post to the DRNA board...if something doesn't pan out there I'll probably call Leslie and see if she can do it.

Ed, my car is in the shop for awhile.  Getting her all fixed up. Not sure when it will be ready.  Would you mind calling Leslie?  If she can't, I might be able to borrow my mom's car :dontknow:

Thats exactly what I did, I talked to Leslie and she is going to do the home visit.

Honestly I have no doubts about either adopter.

Both girls have helped with transports, both girls have adopted puppy mill survivors, dogs with known behavior problems and have been successfull with those dog. That fact alone puts them in the upper class of dog owners. Few people have the heart to adopt dogs with behavior problems, these girl do have the heart.

so Im happy with my placements. I feel certain that my rescues will be well cared for.

Wonderful!!!  I am so glad Leslie can help out.  Should get my car back later this week and then she will be good to go!!!  If you need anything else completed close to Cincinnati, either home visit or transport (not a problem now), please give me a call.  I have an extra crate in the basement I can use if needed.  Cheryl

Im happy and proud to annouce that Baby now has a new home. The applicants are driving down from Kentucky this week end to pick her up and take her home. Her new name will be Georgia. She was rescued from Georgia and she's fuzzy and sweet like a good Georgia Peach, IMHO the new name fits.

That is fantastic news, so the sweetie is going to love her for what she is.............gorgious

I think you got it. The new owner is going to love this dog just because the dog needs love....but I know this dog...she will return the love in spades. I can't imagine anyone not loving this dog.

FANTASTIC!  Georgia is a wonderful name for such a beautiful little girl :apls: :apls:

Georgia is now on her way home with her new mom and dad. I like these people, it's a good placement for both owner and Baby/Georgia.

True, she was a little rotund when I got her, didn't take long to figure out she was a chow hound. She's one of those dogs that have to have a feeding time and measured food.

once in awhile I get an email or text message from Georgia's (aka Baby)  new mom and dad....and it just makes my day.  I'm so happy and pleased that things turned out so well for this little dog. She went from a dumpster and potentially being crushed in a trash truck and dumped in a landfill to a wonderful home and 2 people that really care about her... she landed in butter.

Stuff like this makes all the effort and work of rescue worth everything I ever put into it.

I couldn't image life without her. She is a dolland always makes us laugh. When she hears popcorn in the microwave she runs in the kitchen and dances til it comes out. We adore her! So happy she's here!

Oh my this brings tears to my eyes. I don't know who I am happier for, Georgia or her new Mom they are both very lucky! Must feel good to have played such a big part in this.  :thumb:

Just to let ya"ll know...I still get emails and txt photos from Georgia's (aka Baby) mom.

i just came back from the store and found a 9 month old basset pup in the street. she was scared and came right to me so i brought her home to figure out what to do with her. i must tell you, georgia was the most WELCOMING dog i ever seen! she wasn't too overbearing and made friends with the timid pup who came out of her shell right away!! she got her to play and was so sweet. i made signs to hang in the neighborhood and jeremiah fortunatly found the owner before i hung them up... that little georgia is something else ed!!! such a sweet heart! we've had her a year sunday!

Georgia/Baby looks wonderful in her new forever home.  Looking at some of the pics, I wonder if she came from the same breeder that Zeke / Zora came from.  The semblance to Zeke, particularly in the skull and the tan patterns is close to identical.   I don't think too many breeders try to breed blues because of the CDA issues.

JetEd73

Georgia/Baby was rescued from Dahlonaga GA. By the condition of her nipples/mamary glads my guess is that she'd had a few litters of pups but she was defiantly someone's pet.

The Zs came from a breeder in Duncanville, Alabama.   We're definitely in the right neck of the woods.
