My Black and Tan's face is so swollen she looks like a pitbull

I am taking her to the vet at 4 this afternoon. She looks so pitiful and just blinks at you. I think she might be struggling to breathe through her nose too.  She has allergies and often times her eyes water. Hope it isn't serious.

Sounds like she got into something that she is highly allergic to - I would get her up there quickly or ask them if you can give her something to help reduce the swelling.  Does the vet realize she is having a hard time breathing?  They may look at her right away.  Let us know- sending rays.....

Give her Benedryl right away. They get a mg for every pound. So a normal pink caplet is 25 mg and you can break these in half. Hope she's okay I wouldn't wait on the vet if the Benedryl don't work within a few minutes I would take her in and set on their door step. Allergic reactions are nothing to mess with it.

Could be allergies, snake or spider bite, any one of several nasty things.  Is there any way she can see the doctor right away?

Thanks. The Vet said allergies to but gave her the 25mg benydrl and said to give her a whole one every 8 hours.  She weights 15 pounds.  He gave her 3 shots of ???? and amoxicillin.  I still have no idea why she swelled up like that or what did it.
