Has anyone used these?  Our vet says Maddie's teeth have a lot of build up and need cleaned.  We just did this last year!  I can't afford another one so soon.  Would a dentabone help delay a cleaning?

We used to use dentabones for Rudy & Max.  I think we still have one or two floating around, but we had to hide them, lest Jessica use them as HER dentabones.   They are helpful, but if your vet is telling you that Madderoo's teeth need to be cleaned, no product is going to change that.  However, after the dental is done, the dentabone can extend the amount of time before you have to do a dental again.

I don't know how well they clean teeth but they get slimey when you chew on them    ..... and slimey when they come out of the other end  :eeew: ...... AND I choke on the smaller half that is left over.

We haven't ever used them - we get the Greenies and Penny's teeth have done very well. Also, we brush her teeth once a week.

I used to give Dentabones to Clifford, but he would actually break off bits and crunch them up.  I was afraid he was going to break a tooth so I quit giving them to him.
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.
