Dr. Beau Leaky

. . .watching and listening to Governor Mark Sanford implode, I am reminded of my ex-husband who, at age 51, threw away his 27-year marriage and his relationship with his six children, as well as friends, to chase after his high school sweetheart who had connected with him through Classmates.

It's just so painful for his wife and boys.  I know, I've been there.

Karen (Too bad there isn't one smiley with a teardrop.)

P.S.  Thanks, I just needed to vent to people who I can talk to.
:book1: AHEM . . . I may be retired, but I am always at your service!

Since I live in S.C., I'm almost afraid to turn on the news or look at any of the online new sites anymore. I can't believe he just won't be quiet, but I think he is trying to tell everything before anyone else does. His wife is a wonderful woman and doesn't deserve this. When the story first broke that he was missing for a few days, I thought he was pouting since he was forced by the state congress to take the stimulus package from the government. When it turned out he was in Argentina, I still didn't think he was having an affair at first, just because everyone knew how committed he was to his wife (or at least he seemed to be).
For the longest, SC has been doing well at getting some big companies to build their headquarters in our state, partially because we had a good, stable, strong governor focused on the state and a strong economy. I don't think that is going to be the case anymore.
I agree, Karen, we need a smiley with a teardrop.

I have to say I do feel for this guy's wife and kids.  Some people don't know what they have until they're gone.  I know someday he will rue what he has done, I just hope it's sooner rather than later.

Wow, Karen, thanks for sharing - I am so sorry you went through that!  A teary-eyed emoticon would be nice in these circumstances.

Its a heartbreaking story to watch.  I shut off the tv everytime it comes on.    I feel so sorry for his wife and kids.

Our friend, Karen, we hug you today.  That must have been sooooooooooo hard for you.

Stoopid MEN sometimes.  (not all men, but some)  They don't know a good thing when they have it.  (sigh).
