I walk the two youngies about 3/4 of an hour daily, plus more at week-ends.  The only thing that stops us is down pour, or above 25 degree's C.
Getting my socks on in the morning is the signal, and try explaining if they stopped lying on my feet I'd get there a lot sooner!

We walk twice a day and go about a mile each time............. :dump: until winter ...... we still walk in the snow but not on  the ice.  I am SO AFRAID of falling.

Depending on the weather, Charlie and I'll walk about 1/4 of a mile.  Sometimes we'll walk 1/2 mile if the weather's nice.  We haven't gone on walks lately because of the back issues he had been having.  :walk2:

When we lived in town we did two --sometimes three--1/2 mile walks.  Our new neighborhood does not have sidewalks, and we are on a hill, so we don't get nearly the walkie time we used to.  And to make matters worse, I was waiting to cross the street (with the furkids) on Friday (at 7am mind you) when my neighbor starts screaming at me to not walk my dogs on his property.  Simultaniously he is screaming into his cell phone about his "f-ing neighbor".  Well, no one had poohed on his lawn, and if they had in the past it was once or twice.  I see his point about us having more property than him, but IF I AM TRYING TO CROSS THE STREET and my dog poohs there, I can't help it. And I always clean up.

Everyone I meet these days seems to need anger management classes, I swear.

Dolly here.  WALKS????  Nope.  No way.  No how.  I don't like walkies.  I'm a couch potato hound.  When mommy puts on my leash, I'll sniff around our little area but once we're outside of our property, I sit down and I don't move.  I'm afraid of big dogs....and li'l ones too.  I'd just as soon leave the walkies up to Madderoo.

Maddie here.  Yay!  Walkies!  I LOVES 'em.  I'm fearless and will stare down any big dawg. (And she will too).  I love to look for gopher holes and old poops.  I get the news and bring it home to that lazy sissy of mine.  I only get walkies about once a week and I start squeekin' on Saturdays cuz I know dats MY day for a walkie.

Mommy:  I'm afraid I may have transferred some of my fear onto Dollers.  I hate to go for a walk and have a dog run up to us OFF LEASH.  It's usually always a Rottie or another BIG dawg.  Dolly is very leash aggressive and when she meets up with another dog, I also fear that she will bite it and then I'd be liable.  Dolly does get exercise, though.  She gets into play modes and tears around the house with a stuffy.  I can rile her up for about 5 circuits or so.  At least she gets SOME exercise.

I walk Penny 3 to 4 times a week and we usually go 2 to 2 1/2 miles each time. She loves it!

Dad walks Cocoa and Patches at least 1/2 mile every day that is decent.  We actually had to "tell" him not to walk them when it hit 90 deg. this summer! He's 78!

I walk Ozzy three times a week, about a mile-and-a-half.  We walk around the high school buildings, where there is nearly always some kind of activity going on, which keeps it interesting.  If it is storming or heavy snow, I try to "exercise" him inside the house.  I wish I could walk him more, but working full-time, plus volunteering as organist, keeps me pretty busy.

Since I have to leave him home during the day, I take Ozzy with me to church, when I go practice.  I set his travel kennel on the first row of pews, so he can see me.  Guess you could say, I have a "captive" audience.

We walk each morning and in the evenings.  Usually 1/4 mile each time.  Week ends, we take longer walks.  Both kids love it.  Some walks end up being smell fests...so it takes a long time and many "Come ons" to get back home !!!!

Walking?!?!? More like Berman and Lucy dragging us down the sidewalk!  They take us about 1/4 mile a few times a week.  We really need to walk further or more - Berman is really out of shape and getting a little chunky (he's got a cute chubby butt).  Johnny took Berman to a track after we lost Annie and walked Berman once around (1 mile).  Johnny said Berman really slowed down and was sweating and panting torwards the end.  Poor baby!

  That is what my walks with Chilie consist of every time!  And many encouraging tugs on the leash as well.  I swear, sometimes it take 15 minutes to go just 10 feet!

Chilie loves to walk up by the train tracks.  We'll walk from our house down to the train station, and then turn around and come back.  When I have Lara in the stroller, which is during the weekdays (on the weekends, Daddy stays home with Lara and Chilie and I go for a walk) Chilie loves to walk next to the stroller, and then when she gets tired, she jumps into the basket on the bottom and gets a ride back home.  Usually, she is all for the walk down to the station, and then on the way back she gets very "sniffy"....almost as if she knows it's time to go home and she's delaying the return as much as possible!  :2funny:

I love the vision of her hopping in to the basket for a lift !!!!

She loves it!  And then she'll stick her head out of the front and just enjoy the ride.
