Loki here:  I gots into mom's strawberry garden.  I was circling around and around and den I puts my face thru this gap in da fence and woo-hoo!!!! I was inside.  I et a bunch of berries and den dere was fence on the odder side.  I could not get thru!  I gots scared and started crying and mom came and gots me out.  Den she fixed the gap.  When I went back there was still, like 30 red berries in dere!

Les here:  ha ha!  The little stinker!  The fence is only 18" high, but made of stiff pickets. It usually works pretty well, but where there's a Loki, there's a way.  She sulked about the berries, but I  went pickin' and she got all the ones the birds had tasted.

Loki!  Good job on getting the berries!  You are resourceful and tenacious just like all good Dachsies should be!  And don't worry about getting stuck inside the silly fence - I am sure you just did it so you could make your mom feel all heroic and useful for rescuing you!

Iz know how ya feel Loki.  Iz gots kickeded outta da farm store cause I was sampling da goods.   (strawberries)   Mama sez I'm lucky dat da lady fought it was funny.   I'm not 'llowed back dere till da planties are put up higher.       How was I apposed to know dat was some ladies prize plant set for da fair.   Im jus a dog, I can't read.

Dey are very yummy, but iffen you are outside the fence and you bark at dem berries, they will not jump into yer mouf.  You have to pester the mamma to come and pick dem.  I can be realz annoyin', too.
