Kari so graciously allowed me to forward this from my friend, Stacey, in hopes that folks here might spread the word about rescue and if any of you have friends or relatives in CA who are looking for a great little dog, that they will consider rescue.  Stacey has been doing rescue for a year now and has a knack for placing deserving puppers into great homes.  Thanks for letting me share her letter with you.

Hi there everyone!
It has been a crazy last few weeks! We have been overwhelmed with surrenders and calls from shelters!
Not to mention me slipping on some steps and hurting myself real good! Been down for the count for the last few days!

I wanted to send out a list of donations needed and of course a list of all the dogs looking for forever homes!
I know many of you are not looking to add to your family but word of mouth is key in placing these little guys in wonderful permanent homes!

So when you are out and about with your little ones and someone stops to admire them tell them about all the dogs out there looking for homes!

On Friday I will be making a trip to several shelters and two personal homes to pick up dogs. I believe the number right now that we will be rescuing is 7 but who knows! Seems that once we are at the shelters there are always dogs that did not make it to the internet because of aggression or other issues! We will always take these too! I am hoping Ronnie can join me to help!

I know times are tight for us all but we could use anything you could donate at this point! Even 5 dollars makes a difference! We have put the Ebay stuff on hold! Selling the low price items was costing more that it was worth! I hope the weather lets up in March so we can plan another yard sale to raise money!

We hope that the two 6 month old boys we have here will be adopted this weekend and if so that will sure help. We have lots of seasoned little ones here right now that require lots of care! They are not at the top of the list as "most wanted" so that has really depleted our reserves at this point! Their adoption fees come no where close to covering their costs but we sure love them no matter what! The love of an old dog is one everyone should experience!

Here is a list of all the little ones we have that are in need of a forever home

I am pleased to announce that Foxy Doxy Rescue is now officially a NON-PROFIT organization!  WOW!!   :hello2: :hello2:

Last week, we helped out with an adoption event.  One of the "kids" up for adoption was Ralph.  He is a BEAUTIFUL red tweener smoothie boy and just the sweetest thang!  He would just look right into your eyes and then roll over for a bellyrub.  I was sooooooooooo tempted but knew Mark would kick me to the curb if I brought another hound home.  Plus, we are at our Park limit....sigh.  Well, the good news is, Ralph got adopted that day along with other prospectts for some other doggies featured that day.  If you'd like to see who's available currently, check out petfinder.com and put in zip code 93401.  I think Tracker is the first one listed and he's a real love bug.
