Funder-Snow?!

Sheesh wez went walking in da park just yestaday and played outside almost all day. Now I wake up and da wind is cwazy. Dat wind kept me up ALL night, made me so nervous. Mama eben gab me some Wescue Wemedy and it didn't help. Da wind wasn't da scawiest fing dough. Its been raining all morning and den it turned to sleet.

Right before it da sleet turned into snow, I heareded dis....." CCCCCCRAAACKKKKK!!!!!!" It was so loud it shaked da floor! Mama sez its okay, its just Funder-Snow.

I screamed and ran unda da bed, my mama had to beg me to come out, using tweats. I'm not gonna step one paw away fwom my mama. Its onwy been snowing for about a half hour and da gwound is almost all da way cobered. My daddy had to do his route in a town 60 miles norf of our town, and his boss called him and told him to "High-Tail his heinie home!"

Dis dang blizzard part wasn't supposed to kick in until 5 tonight. Well, I gotta go, Mama has to take me for a potty bweak while we can still see each odder. Unwess we lose da power, we'll check in later tonight and tomorrow morning to let you know we are safe. Wez aint going nowhere!

P.S. My mama's mean....she's making dis yummy smelling "Tato soup" for supper and she sez I don't get any.

Porkie Pie! BOO to snow. DO NOT WANT. Deep snow and Dachshunds don't mix, I say. Even handsome Dachshunds like us!

You are very smart to stick with your momma. And who knows, maybe she will relent and share the Tato Soup!

I've experienced it a couple of times in Maryland, the last time being about 20 years ago. It truly is one of nature's most bizarre weather happenings.

Brekke and Robinton here: We like brokli, too, Porky! We don't even have to wait for thunder-snow to get it, but then again, we hardly ever see snow around here! Momma sez she's only seen snow here three times since she moved here in 1982.

We had Thundersnow when we had our March 1st snow this year. It was really weird to have thunder and lightning during a snowstorm and it went on for about 30 minutes or so. The only other time I've experienced it, there was only a clap or two of thunder and it was done. I'm glad our snow is now over and we are starting to see a hint of green on the trees. The Bradford pear trees actually have a lot of leaves on them now and the dogwood trees have buds all over them. They should bloom right in time for Easter this year.

We only got one LOUD clap of thunder, no lightning that I saw. That was enough to scare Porky though. Brekke and Robinton, Porky get broccoli pretty frequently, it's his favorite treat.

We are still getting wind and I think it's snowing, but I can't tell if it snow coming down or just blowing around.

Porky we had the Thundersnow here we got 6" of the heavy white stuff it sure is tough going out to potty since its taller than me.I barked every time the Thundersnow so it did not stop but I sure tried to scare it away just snowed and snowed all day long.Thought it was suppose to be Spring thats what they said on the TV anyway hope no more snow till next winter.Patches
