List the barks (and other noises) yer doggies make to communicate.
This morning I was alarmed to hear the INTRUDER ALERT bark. It turns out there was a kittykawt in the backyard. It's amazing how accurate that bark is and I am so glad they are such good watchdogs because there is occasional  mischief in the neighborhood.
we also have:
Lemmein bark (Loki)
gimmefud bark (Loki)
payattenshun to me bark (Loki)
SKWIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Zuzu)
and --also from Zuzu-- various squeals and whining to indicate that Loki is giving her the stink eye.
Zuzu will also start HOWLING if Loki is making the payattenshun to me bark for long enough.

and last but not least, this one I heard last week.
The Wth? bark.  Zuzu saw the kittykawt but didn't know what it was. (Pretty darn camouflaged for sure) and I swear she sed "Whuttheheckizzat??"      :thinik:
Shakespeare : "To thine own self be true."
Popeye:  "I yam wot I yam."

Porky has his distinctive barks as well.   His playful bark "AROOF!",  his pay attention bark ( a really shrill!) "YYYYYIP!" , His  daddy's home bark a whine and a "YAP!"   and then his intruder bark "GRUFFF, YAP, YAP, YAP!"   He has other's but I can't think of how to best describe them.

Schatzi definitely has a different bark if she thinks something is threatening us. Just this morning, I heard a new one. She was going to our room to get back in bed. We have the doggie stairs for her and Molly. Apparently Molly was at the top of the steps, blocking Schatzi's way. I heard something that I thought was a yelp so I go running in there. Instead it was just a "How dare you" bark at Molly followed by the high pitch park of "I want up there, NOW!". I put her on the bed and she was happy. Molly just raised an eyebrow at her.

Dee Dee and Hallie

These are hilarious.
Hallie also has her set of noises. She is not a big barker, but has somethingsintheyard, mailmanatthedoor, hurryuputtingthatfoodinmydish (accompanied by spinning), ithinkimighthearsomethingbutimnotsure (quiet little boofs while looking out the window), and most recently having just learned to answer my bark there are a lot of lookatmebarkiamsodarncute woofs. These always with bum in the air and head cocked to the side.

LOL, these are good.  In addition to those already mentioned, Clifford has his "heyeverybodylookatmeimpooping" and the "ping".  He ping's (a short 'bark') when outside at night and the neighborhood is quiet and he wants to know who is on "duty".
There's nothing like having a dachshund tongue up your nose at 3 a.m.

Are you sure that's not "HEY!  I'm making you a PRESENT!  C'mon check it out!"

Dee Dee:  "boofs"  perfect.

Popeye:  "I yam wot I yam."

Mike, I love the PING!! What a great description of that bark that do to let everyone know they are out there. Can't wait to tell Randy that one.

Dee - Gabbe also does that spin/bark thing when it is time for food.  Lily does the most interesting thing that none of my other do.  I call it yodeling or ro-ro.  She does this thing that sounds like she is yodeling ro-ro.  It is really funny and I can get her to do it by saying, "Ro-ro. Lily.  She mainly does it when she wants my attention.  She used to do it with her Grandpa and he would do it right back at her.  They were so funny.  They have the same ones that others have described as well.  They like to do the whatisoutthere bark when I am enjoying a soak in the tub.  I think they are trying to get me out of the tub and pay more attention to them.

Roberta

We have most but the not lookatmepooing. This week Amy has added letmedownyouididiotIgottagahelpOLliebark howl. th eother is that some barks are just informative as she does not respond.
Food bark is from MOoooooooooooo who runs up barks and runs back to her mat and sits, while Oliver just whines and attempts to jump on the counter.

Like Clifford, the Zs like to "ping" bark to see if they get a reaction.

Zeke also has a deep "Barrooooooo" as in "Intruder Alert...Intruder Alert...Intruder Alert!"  He has his comeplaywithme bark, the regular "alert" bark.   a half-bark that sounds like "Boof"  then he has his "IamZekeyoumustfearme" bark

Zora has her set of alerts, but she also has her "ineedfoodnow" whine.  She has her "goawayI'mprotectingmybrood" bark.

Parker has all the distint barks, and he also howls at the moon. He doesn't do it to often, but when he does we split a gut laughing. He just plops his butt, looks straight up and howls like a wolf.

Dis is Parker: is not howling, is calling the ladies!!!! Sometimes they answer.

Madderoos Mom

Maddie definitely has the loud intruder bark down.   This usually occurs at 3:00 in the morning when she has been let out for her senior lady pee time and accidentally, on purpose, spots a possum in the tree or on the fence.  I'm sure my neighbors really appreciate THAT bark.  Bonnie's bark is just plain funny.  My guess is that she wasn't allowed to bark or was disciplined severely for barking and so her barks are a bit gibberish barks and kind of comical.  Sometimes if she gets wounde up, she "aroooo arooo's."  I remind her that no one is going to take her seriously with THAT bark.  Most of all though, Maddie is famous for her squeaks.  Remember the old WB Sylvester cartoon when Sylvester tells "Son" that common cats have to "meow for this" and "meow for that"?  Well, that's the Madderoo.  Squeak for this and squeak for that.  Works for her.  I imagine she was a real joy to her doggy mom.   :doah:
