The Doggie Pooping Pole!

:meme: Here's a picture of the doggie pooping pole.  Under the sign is a white box filled with green biodegradable bags and under that is a trash can for hoomans to deposit the bags in.

I have to point out that it seems counterproductive to take dog feces which biodegrade in one - three weeks and place them in a plastic bag which has a "dump life" of 500 - 1,000 YEARS. :thinik:  That is not good ecological thinking.  Better to use small paper bags than grocery bags.  Oh, well, what can you do?

If memory serves in order for these bags to break down they need contact with sunlight, but then where does the waste go anyway.  Its a no win situation.

I have no idea how long they take to break down or whether they require sunlight.

I'm 56 years old.  I grew up having been taught to watch where I walk and not step in poop.  Nobody worried about dog poop on the lawn.  If you got upset about it, you were considered neurotic.  My dachshunds have a run big enough to hold their poop and it decomposes on its own.  I rarely go on poop patrol.  This was a FYI for Amorette and the Porkmeister.

Thanks for sharing that with Auntie Karen.     They need to come up with a better system that is just as convenient for people to use.
