We had a drop-in stop by to look at the house yesterday.  The house wasn't as nice and neat as I would have liked, Dan and I were in our sweats, and I had STUFFED CABBAGE ROLLS baking in the oven.   Aaaaarrrrggghhhh!!!!  Trust me, the house did not smell as nice as it would have if I had been baking bread.  I didn't even have enough time to light any of my pinon pine incense!!!  But, they liked the house!!!!  No offers yet.

All fingers and paws crossed that this IS the family that will buy your house !!!!  When they smelled the cabbage rolls, they probably were hungry !!!!

YEP!  ...........   E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G   was piled high on the beds when we opened the door !  :2funny: :2funny:
It's funny now, it wasn't funny then.

Take heed Patty.
We bought our house in April.
I'd rather know that people lived in &
loved their house.  It also helped
to know how much of my junk
would fit & look stuffed everywhere!!!  LOL!

Reminds me of when we sold our house last year, on Easter sunday.  My next door neighbor cleans businesses for a living and had previously offered to clean our carpets.  I ran into him and explained that we were getting ready to move and asked if he was still interested in cleaning our carpets.

He said yes, and then asked to come in and look at the work to be done.  We got upstairs and he saw the kitchen.  He put his hand on the kitchen wallpaper and said "my sister in law would really like this."  Turns out his wife's sister and her family were looking for a home near her sister.

Later on I am making Easter dinner.  I had spent the day cleaning the house and getting it ready to show, and had ALMOST finished if you get my drift.  So the house was almost but not quite clean, I still had a couple of minor home repairs to do, and the kitchen was a MESS from being in the middle of making dinner.

THEN the DOORBELL rings!  My neighbor had brought his wife's family over to see the place!  They loved it!  A little while later dinner was ready, and our agent arrived.  I had earlier told him he could have a bite with us and then we would sign the contract.  Anyway, the neighbor's brother in law saw that the sign was in the yard, having been placed there five minutes before, and wanted to make an offer.  Good thing we had the five minutes beforehand to decide on the asking price, which is what the buyer offered.

The whole scene was surreal and hysterical.  My house was a little messy, the kitchen was real messy, I had not even signed the contract with the listing agent, and our agent was on the phone with his agent as the buyer's agent wrote up the offer.  Our agent didn't even know all the properties amenities yet, and the buyer agent would ask questions, which my agent relayed to me, then he would turn back to his phone to relay the answer.

The funny thing is, everyone at his office told our friend, a new agent, that he was crazy to list a home on Easter weekend because no one would be out looking.  Turns out he had then fastest sale in the annals of his company!

What a great story.  Goes to show you that you just never know!  I have a feeling with our place that everyone will decide they want it all at once.  It will appear in the November issue of Alaska Horse Journal.
