Brieget's back is much better.  She's still spending a lot of time in her "condo"  I think she likes it because Joy, the yellow lab, can't get in there with her.  She's still very quiet and subdued, which is NOT like her.
When she goes outside to potty she is able to walk using both back legs, although clumsily.  BUT  We are headed back to the vet.  She now has blood in her urine.  Any ideas?  Vet said on the phone that the Predisone wouldn't have caused this.

Glad her back seems to be doing better.....rest, rest, rest - great that she is not having a problem with the crate!!!!   Dang - not sure what the blood in her urine indicates.  Are you taking her back to your normal vet?  I thought you had mentioned in the earlier post that you were going to try another vet - one that may be more familiar with doxie problems.  Sending rays that they can take care of the blood in her urine - please let us know !

I talked to the vet yesterday, and he said that I should watch her for a day or 2 to see if her urine cleared up. My daughter took her outside at lunchtime and said her urine is clear, but I'm still going to keep a really close eye on her.  I'll check her again this afternoon, and if there's ANY sign of blood, I'm taking her in.
