Things are coming along so much better around here!  Such an improvement!!  Usually in the big bed, I have Bonnie sleep just under the quilt on top of the veleuer blanket.  She tends to get overheated very easily.  I had been making sure that Maddie was under her usual full covers to keep them separated.  Bonnie is still in the cone.  More on that later.  Well, last night, Maddie really wanted to be with her sissy, so I let them both sleep just under the quilt.  Makes for a challenge for the hoomans to pull the blankies in the middle of the night, but oh well.  They did GREAT!  Snuggled up together almost all night.  Usually Maddie wants up around 4:30.  She slept the whole night through.  Bonnie jetted out around 5:00 but quickly settled down again.  I think they are really bonding.  Once in awhile, we have a bit of a growl from Bonnie, but not very often.  Maddie doesn't seem the least bit intimidated by this and seems to really like her.  Mark said that Maddie "went off", her high squeal thing when he came home today.  Bonnie simply rushed up to Maddie and grumped at her once and that settled her down.  No true aggression.  Just a little "knock it off" from the Bon Bon.

We're still trying to heal up the owie on Bonnie's back.  These things can be stubborn.  I found a tin of Watkins Petro Carbo salve in the medicine cabinet and after reading that it was safe for animals, started her in on that.  She gets that twice daily with a Hydrogen Peroxide cleansing in between.  Also got some Bitter Apple so she doesn't bite on herself around the cone.  I think the bumps aren't as big today.  Hoping for more progress next week.  Also got both girls on some derm fish oil from the vet's.

Well, that's my report for the evening.  I'm feeling much more relaxed around them and feel that I can deal pretty confidently with any skirmishes that come up.
