Handle every "Situation" like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
tinkle on it and walk away.

Aww I will miss seeing those pictures!  They always made me smile and laugh!    We've had two mornings in the 30s already too.  We are supposed to get some of the dreaded S word this weekend during the night on Friday and Saturday.

Sarge-Dugie!

Commander Wilson here!

Bravery. Courage. Gallantry. Intrepidity. Valor. These words have a shared meaning, and they point to the highest aspect of the warrior spirit: heroism.

But what is heroism? In an age when pop culture worships rock stars, athletes, politicians, and entertainment celebrities as heroes, the word is often misunderstood and devalued.

A hero, Mr. Webster tells us, is a mythological or legendary figure, often of divine descent and, in Doxie terms, a hero is an illustrious warrior or a Dachshund who shows great courage or bravery.

America has many heroes. Some are folklore figures, such Pecos Bill and Paul Bunyan. Some are legendary names, such as the American Revolution’s Nathan Hale and Molly Pitcher. Some are contemporary, such as 9/11’s many police, firefighters, and emergency medical technicians who worked to rescue people in the World Trade Center towers and other disasters around the nation.

But the quintessential American hero is the member of the Doxieland armed forces who holds the Medal of Honor. Some are well known, such as Patches, Simon, Smokey,  and Mimi, but most are not. Regardless of their public visibility, however, they share a common glory. They are the bravest of the brave.

Boys, Sarge-Dugie

For Bravery and Courage beyond the call of duty, for defending the home land from numerous attacks from the Monster Mowers.

I am proud to present you with the Doxie Medal Of Honor.

You do us all proud.

Commander Wilson

SALUTE!

I'm sure the guys love getting this and having it to keep as something to remember this summer by. I hope the same ones get to return next year. I'm sure they do everything they can to make sure they are the ones on those mowers when Spring returns.

It will be the same guys -- we found that out today!  They enjoys the furkids just as much as the furkids enjoy them!  They made a special point to say to the furkids, See you in the spring!  Dee

Any ideas for us, Auntie Roberta?   We gotta come up with something besides making sure Mom and Dad are up at the crack of dawn on Wednesdays!  Even the mower guy said we'll need to come up with something to do until spring!  Sarge & Duggie

You are so clever Dee! Great collage. The boys are going to miss their protection duties this winter. I can picture it better now though that we've been to your place! You have such a beautiful home and clean as a whistle. Those guys were burnin' up the turf there in those pics!  :thumb:

Hey, that would be good exercise for Mom and Dad!  But right now, it'd just be Mom since Dad's foot is still in a walking boot cast.....but meybe when his cast comes off, it could be physical therapy!
