Question - do you have to be Catholic to get your furkid(s) blessed by a priest in the St. Francis church?  The church I attend has a pet blessing service on October 5 - and vicious animals can either be blessed in their crate(s), or you can bring a picture.

I was wondering the same thing.

I can't imagine that any priest would turn anyone away. A priest should serve God first, the flock second, and the church is in third place.

No, of course you don't have to be Catholic.  I am Catholic, and I remember when the Pope visited Anchorage back in the 80's.  We waited on the Park Strip for 5 hours to see him, in January, and hear him say the mass.  So many people were there, non-Catholics and everyone, and they all took communion.  The different religions are man's doing, not God's.
TAKE YOUR PETS TO BE BLESSED!!!!

It's probably more for me than it is the dogs, to be honest. Personally I'm convinced that they have a better relationship with God than humans do. I think God finds no fault with them. I believe the evidence is the devotion and unconditional love they poor out on us.

Just my opinion.
