No way I'm goin out in the rain!

Ozzy here.  Mom came to get me out of Amy's room to take me out this morning.  I could hear it was raining, so I gave her the L@@K, and buried myself under the covers.

Mindy here.  Ozzy must thinks he's in heaven, getting to sleep most nights in the big bed with Amy.  I go get him in the mornings to take him out and he's usually very happy to see me and ready to "go potty."  This morning, however, he must have heard the rain and decided he did not want to come out of the warm bed.  He was lying on top of the covers, but instead of coming to me to be picked up off the bed, he went and buried himself under the covers.  Sometimes I wonder who is smarter, me or him?

Parker here: I don't do business in the rain either. never never never. Mommy has finally put down a pee pad in the furnace room and I do business there, or mostly I just do it where ever I feel like it. What do you think mops are for? hmmmmp

That sounds like Schatzi. She'll stick her head out the doggie-door, see the rain and back right back in the house! Something about getting those feet wet!
How is Amy doing? Is she out in the working world now?

Yes, Amy is in the working world now.  She graduated last May.  She is temporarily living with us, while going through the management training at a major clothing store.  Her long-term plans are to move to an area closer to her new boyfriend, who is in the Army.  Unfortunately, his division is scheduled to go to Iraq sometime this winter.

Ms. Lucy will go out if I go with her, Mr. Wilson, you have to drag him out. Both has discovered that using the carpet in front of the bath room door is better than getting wet...go figure!

Dis is Porky Pie, dere is no way you should be 'spected to go in da rain!   Dats crazy!   Iffen I gots to go and its raining, I leave my "deposits" on da back porch cause its da only place dat stays dry.   It makes da hoomans angwy, but hey...I'm dry who cares?!

it hasn't rained here yet but I am going to have to see how Romeo does in that.  I know now in the mornings he hates going out because the grass is damp because of the dew because it is fall and here in Oregon it is cool during the eve and morning and then warm during the day and he hates the wet dew grass and it is cold and I think he rather stay in bed also were it is warm. lol thanks for sharing :) our babies are so cute aren't they

This is hilarious.  I'm actually debating buying some turf pieces and setting up a little area on my front porch for winter on the really bad days.

Doxies and rain just don't mix.  However, my Bonita will go out and do her business, but the boys absolutely refuse.  Fortunately I have a covered patio and a carport, so the boys will use one of these areas.

Although Ceaser is used to getting wet in the morning,
because around here the grass is always dewy in the morning.

They are so smart.  I know that Willy and Alex sure appreciate their indoor puppy pad.  Somedays when its raining here, I ask them if they want to go outside.  At first they are very excited, but change their minds quickly upon seeing that its raining out.

I just discovered this morning that Schatzi won't go in the rain on her own, but put her on a leash and walk in the rain with her and she'll go in a heartbeat. Wet grass doesn't seem to bother her at all then. Go figure...
