Speaking of "the trip" I'm so excited, this has been on hold until yesterday because I was afraid I'd have to cancel it all but I'm going to give it a try...I am going to a 3 day photo shoot in Montana with wild animals trained for movies and photography. There will be lions, tigers, snow leopards, cougars, grizzly and black bear, wolves, fox, etc and they will be loose in the wilderness with beautiful backgrounds and they are trained to run and jump things it will be an amazing opportunity to get photos to paint from. And one extra day to go thru yellowstone for pics. But what I'm really excited about is that Ron and Delia and both girls are coming out!!! Ron and Gretchen will stay at our house and visit the local parks all week while Delia and Ilsa will drive to MT with Hallie and I, I needed someone to sit in the van with Hallie while I am shooting and I am so glad Delia and Ilsa agreed to be the ones!! Not many people I would trust to lift my dog out of the van to take a P...had to fly in the best from Texas! :thumb: I'm so excited to see the girls too it has been a few years since we've all gotten together. So I'm hoping to be doing a lot better by the end of next week!

I didn't know that cows were on our species list! But...COOL!!!

The first thing I did when I planned on this trip was looked up your town to see how close you were from where we'll be...but you are a few hundred miles away.

I was really hoping we'd get to meet you and Ellie!!! We'll be in Bozeman and then down to Yellowstone.
We do plan to stop in Spokane and see a couple of Greenacre boys though whoo hoo! (stoked!) There may be some doggie double datin' going on! :thumb:

And, we are so excited to see Hallie, Ilsa, DeeDee and Delia! The boys are excited to show the girls their training grounds! Sarge keeps talking to Duggie about his needing to mind his manners and be a gentleman! That is also cool, that Ron and Gretchen are coming......well, at least to DeeDee and Hallie's house.......we're sorry that he won't make it to Greenacres, though.

This is so great!! Dee Dee is leaving Washington State!! I know you are going to have so much fun. I also have a feeling this doctor is going to do all he can to make sure you feel as well as possible for the trip. Can't wait to see the pictures of the animals. What a great opportunity.
I have a feeling we are going to see Dee Dee style pictures of Sarge and Duggie, too!

Delia and Ilsa are going too ???? AWESOME !!!!! That makes me feel much better that Dee Dee will have someone to watch over her..... no one better !!! Very kewl !

YEAH!!!!! We get to see DD and Hallie AND Dee, Dave, Sarge and Duggie!!! Gretchie will absolutely LOVE going to the gorgeous parks around DD's house and Ron says he might not want to come home. I guess I should have warned you earlier, huh, DD?

I just hope this new doc gets you on the mend by then. Dee and Dave, it will be so nice to see you guys again! I can't wait!!!!!! I've been wanting to post this news but, like DD, was afraid it would have to be cancelled. So, I'm glad DD did!!!

Oh, and DD...Gretchie's car seat is on it's way, as of about an hour ago.

Yellowstone is around 4 1/2 hours away from us.... Very beautiful there... Can't wait to see the pictures....

Hah! I read Delia's post - out loud - and a little too loud! You should have seen Brekke's ears perk up when I said, "Gretchen and Ilsa"! You're going to Auntie DD's, AND you get to see Hallie, AND Auntie Dee and Unca Dave and Sarge and Duggie? I think the dachshund contingent just indicated that it is NOT fair. Sheesh - you gals and the boys have fun for all of us, ok?

That's awesome! You will love it! Bozeman and only 1 day in the park. Do you have any idea how big that park is! It takes 8 hours just to drive from the south end to the north end!

Ken and I love it out there and it should be beautiful right now. Just don't let the puppers step in anything! One memory is looking at a herd of buffalo standing around a hole in the ground about the size of a 5 gal. pail. The hole was filled to the top with water and it was just sitting there...boiling... It is an awesome and scary place!

Oh I am jealous of that you get to go to Yellowstone! I have been there a few times since my grandma lives about an two or three hours from it (the Wyoming side). You will love it!!! It is beautiful and amazing!!! :apls: I'd go everyday if I could afford it. I have still never seen the whole park and I've been there at least 10 times! :crazyeyes:

When I was there seven years ago, the Madison side of Yellowstone looked like a lunar landscape from the fires of 1989. I would check if it's come back, otherwise I would skip that side.

The Fort Yellowstone entrance has spectacular landscapes, and some of the coolest buildings government buildings from the turn of the century. Go if you can.

The rest of Yellowstone is just fabulous - I envy you!

Does Miss Hallie need an aide-de-camp? I could fit her into my busy schedule. If I leave now, I could be there by November!
