I saw it on the news this morning as soon as I woke up. I'm just waiting now to hear her speak with McCain in a few minutes.    I think its really neat that you know her and I'm assuming from your comments that you like her?!

She will be AMAZING as vice president!!!  She is extremely popular up here in Alaska.  When she ran for governor, I did not vote for her, but since she has been in office, I have been totally turned around, she is doing a wonderful job and is really for the people.  I am just thrilled about this news.   :apls:

I was actually thinking of you this morning Patty, when I heard that she might be the choice.  I'll be interested in hearing more about her.  I STILL have not made my mind up on who I shall vote for.   :doah:

No matter what happens, this will be a historic election.  I'm pleased with McCain's choice, and am hearing good things about Sara.

I saw that she was the mayor of Wasilla and thought of you.

Not to start a political argument, but my vote is going to Obama/Biden in November.

Each and every one of us is entitled to his/her own opinion - that is why we have a vote!  I am just kind of excited - because this is history in the making no matter whom is elected !  And to have one of the candidates so close to home (Patty) - very interesting !

Patty, I have been reading and hearing lots of good things about your Governor.  Looks like McCain made a good choice.  I cannot wait to hear her speak at the convention.

Barb - Like you I am so happy to be voting in this history making election.

Everyone needs to get out there and V-O-T-E!!!!

Well, of course we are not going to have a political argument here, everyone is entitled to vote as they please.  I was going to vote for McCain, and especially now that I know who his VP will be.  Some people say she has no experience......well, from what I have seen, experience doesn't necessarily mean that you will do a good job.  I think we need new blood in the the white house and I think Sarah will do a great job.

I will admit that I'm now more interested in this election than I have been all year. I really liked what she had to say yesterday and look forward to learning more about her.
I talked to Meghan this morning and asked her what she thought about the McCain's VP choice. She asked me who it was? This is my normally news-junky daughter. Once I told her, she said she had been too busy reading for her classes to pay any attention to the news, but now she was going to find out about her. It's good to know she's reading, at least!

Also, I still keep thinking of that Verizon operator that Karen dealt with a few months ago. He's probably going, "Wasilla, Alaska? Haven't I heard that place mentioned once before?"

She WAS the mayor of Wasilla, now she is the Governor of Alaska
