Well I finally got the results from my MRI on my knee.     According to the doctor, who couldn't even remember my name, the results came back that there is nothing at all wrong with my knee.  I had to call last Friday and leave a message with my name and phone number to get the doctor to call me back.  Then, I received a call this morning, "Is Emma there?"  My response...."Who?!"   Then the doctor said, "um....What is your name again??"   :idiot:

I am a little suspicious that they lost my results since they couldn't even remember my name!   Here's my question...if there is nothing at all wrong with my knee, why does it hurt 24/7 and why does it making popping and grinding noises?   My husband and I just have to accept their results for now because there is no way we can afford another 2,000 in medical bills just to be told I'm imagining the pain.     If we had that kind of money, we would go to a specialist in Colorado.

Sorry for the rant, but it is so frustrating to be told you are making up your pain.  Especially from a doctor that had to ask for your name.   So...I guess for now, I'll just stick to what I have been doing since March when the pain first started.   :dontknow:

Marcia from MI

I hear ya.  When my knee pain and I mean PAIN, started I saw a different doctor in the same office and she said "Oh, I don't want to talk about your knee, let's discuss your iron count.  Hello, I can't walk or lie down or stand or anything and you want to ralk about my iron count.  Well, we talked about my iron count and she over prescribed  over the counter iron pills and the knee still hurt like heck.  New doctor again, finally took Xrays and guess what I have bone spurs and arthritis in my knee.  But now can't afford to go back and get any more tests.  The new Dr was great gave me lots of samples of meds for arthritis, but the one that worked was banned by the government and now I take natural supplements, but they don't always help then again running after a pupper who wants to get the bunny doesn't help either.

As the recipient of 2 Arthroscopic surgeries and a Left Total Knee I'm thinking Osteoarthritis the popping noise you hear is the Cartilage in you knee breaking if you ever getlike a catch in your knee and it hurts like the devil. There maybe a piece of Cartilage stuck in the hinge part of your knee should go away in a few day I advise to use a cane during that time.Since monies is a problem for you a cheap way to help you knee's is of course loose weight and drink Hines Apple Cider Vinegar the old timers swear by it if you can figure out away to drink it down. So sorry you're having doc problems, but boy howdy, I can relate.  When my back was WAY outta wack, I went to FOUR doctors over a two year period.  More or less, each one told me that my pain was all in my head and that I'd feel better if I lost weight.  Also, on those same visits, I mentioned how my feet swell up and slop over my shoes.  Response?  "Well, dear, that's not why you're here today.  Let's talk about your back.  Now, if you'd exercise and lose 20 pounds..."blah blah blah.  ALL OF THIS WITHOUT THE BENEFIT of even an E-ray, much less and MRI.  Well, the docs couldn't fix my back, so I tood matters into my own hands.  I wiped out (truly unintentionally) on the sidewalk over 6 months ago.  Haven't had a problem since.  My feet are still swollen and no I haven't been back to any doctor......though I probably should.  Just don't have a lot of faith left in our medical professionals around here.  And I work at a medical lab.  Go figure.

Hope you get some relief soon.  Porky, kiss mommy's knee and make it better.

Thanks everyone!!   My husband and I have just decided to deal with my knee pain for now. If it gets to the point where I'm in so much pain that it is affecting my lifestyle  we will probably drive down to Colorado to see a specialist.   I really do think that it is a Cartilidge issue.  I played basketball from 4th grade through my senior year and up until last month was jogging 3 miles a day (since I was 12).

I plan on taking some supplements and seeing what that might do for my knee.    :dontknow:  The only problem is finding some I'm not allergic too.   I tried taking echinacea when I was 18 for my immune system issues, but after I broke out in a rash over my entire body and my stomach was itching like crazy, I discovered it was made from a flower I am VERY allergic to.   Since I'm allergic to basically every plant known to man, it makes it a challenge finding an herbal supplement, I'm not allergic to.   I have started taking calcium hoping maybe that will help.

The apple cider vinegar really does work but not right away it takes time as with any herbal treatments and it is cheap you need to get one of the vinegars where they use the whole apple. This even works with animals with arthritis I always suggest 1/4 of a teaspoon work your way up slowly to a tablespoon for a 50# dog.
