Prayers for my Regis please Update

I discoved last night that his gums a inflamed and he has a tooth that is just hanging on by a root. He hasn't eating much at all in the last two days but is drinking plenty of water. I don't want him to have a dental do to his age he is almost sixteen and has other medical conditions. I'm hoping that when I take him to the vet today that the can give a pain shot and pull the tooth out and some antibiotics to clear up his gums. I feel horrible that this went unnoticed up until last night. We want him to be pain free. so if you could spare some rays please send them to Oregon to help my little boy.

My lillte boy is in complete kidney failure. I can't put him through anything else. They gave him a shot to make him comfortable so my son and bf can say there goodbyes. He will be going to rainbow bridge tommorrow at 11:20 am. Thank you everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. Can't talk anymore.

The vet might be able to give him a mild sedative and get that tooth out. Best of luck, and let us know how it goes.

Very sorry to hear about your boy Hugs to you it is very hard to let them go but we have to be strong for them know you will do right by your boy at least we have that option for them he will be waiting for you at the bridge one day you all will meet again.

I am so sorry to hear this. I went thru the same thing with my wheaton wire Hasen. He was fine then one morning was very sick, he was in kidney failure. It was so sudden. We also had to let him go and it was the most heartbreaking experience. I know how devastating this is for you. We're all here for you.

Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers. It is so difficult for us but know that Regis is no longer in pain and is romping and playing at the Rainbow Bridge with all of our doxie angels that have gone before him. Know that he will be watching over you and that while the pain is there now, it will ease in time, but Regis will always remain in a special place in your heart. He will be waiting for you. Kathy, when I have lost doxies in the past, and I have lost four, this board was a Godsend. Reading the messages left for me was like sitting in a room full of people who truly understood what I was going through. It was a time to really cry, not only for my loss but because I was so touched that so many people cared about me. I hope that we all can give you some comfort and let you know that you are not alone.

16? Thats a good little stretch for a dachshund. You must of took good care of that baby. Don't kick yourself over the dental thing, the way these dogs are sometimes it's really hard to tell if they have problems.

My heart goes out to you for the lose of your family member.

Been there, done that, painful painful memories.
