Sarge & Duggie here:  We got new collars from Auntie Cheryl, Abby & Roxie!  Auntie Cheryl has been providin' us with our collars for a few years now (Looie-Angel also got collars from Auntie Cheryl).  We just love her collars!  :thumb: They wear very well!  Duggie really wore out the collar he was wearin.....he wore the fabric right off!   We just got our new collars in the mail yesterday and boy-howdy are they spiffy!  Here are some pictures of us sportin' our new collars -- they have "flames" on them!  Oh, and they also sent us some treaties with the collars -- we knew the package was for us -- when Mom walked in the door with it!  A BIG thank you to Auntie Cheryl, Abby and Roxie!!!!!!   Here are our piccies......

No Garden of Eatin' this year except for peaches, which will be ready towards the end of August. With everything else going on this year, we decided to give the garden area a rest......miss it but there just wasn't enough time.

I love their collars! Are they still greeting the Lawn Monsters each week? It's seems so odd that your peaches will be ready at the end of August. That is the end of our peach season here. I went and bought some from one of the orchards yesterday to put in the freezer. They are exceptionally good this year. One of the few advantages of the summer drought is the peaches get really sweet.

Teresa,

Yup, the boys are still greeting the lawn monsters every Wednesday morning usually between 7:15 am and 8:00 am.  Early Wednesday mornings, all Dave and I have to say is it's monster mower day and Duggie and Sarge are on the sofa watching out the window for them.  When they see them across the school yard, the barking and running back and forth from the living room to the back door in the kitchen begins.  We don't let them out until the mowers are coming down the fence line to our place, then the chase is on!  Then afterwards they both sleep because they wore themselves out!  The guys doing the mowing have even started to go forward and then in reverse when they are in front of our place.....the boys love it!  A great exercise program for them!

Normally our peaches would have been ready about now but because of the exceptionally long winter this year -- we still had snow and cold weather late into March, everything is behind.  Flowers and gardens (vegetables and fruits) are about a month behind!  I'll be canning peaches late in August.

Cheryl, all the hoomans here love the collars for the boys! My daughter and son-in-law were over Sunday night for dinner and they loved the collars!  They said both fit the boys' personalities -- Sargey's was flashy but mellow like Sarge is and Duggie's was sporty and fit his ways of always being on the go.  Duggie wears himself out by trying to be everywhere from one end of the yard to the other because he has to check everything out especially those pesky birds, rabbits and the dogs next door (on both sides of us)!  Sarge just says give me the shady area and I'll watch Duggie do all the runnin'.  Dee
