The Big Event -- Wedding, July 5

The wedding was beautiful and the celebration was grand!  The bride was glowing!  Mom and Dad are tuckered out!  Sarge and Duggie have the look that says, "Are you finally going to stay home for longer periods of time?"  All I can say, is I am so thankful that we have a wonderful neighbor, who for the past several days, looked after the furkids for us when we were away and let them out to do their business, several times during the day and evening when we were not home!  The wedding and reception were grand and everyone had a wonderful time dancing and eating!  We had 258 guests that Dave and I hosted and plenty of food! (My biggest fear was that we would run out of food.)  The caterer was fantastic and they received huge raves about the menu!  It was really good!  My biggest fear also was the wedding cake which I made and it turned out wonderful! We also had five sheet cakes.  Cassie said the cake was awesome and she loved it......big relief for me!  The decor and atmosphere  fit extremely well into the rustic country theme -- the flowers .....all different colors of daisies were beautiful.  I've enclosed some pictures that I did take ... more will come later when the photos come back from the photographer....So, here are some pictures.......

Barb, the menu was "light fare" and the menu consisted of:  Pinwheel Sandwiches (Beef and Turkey), Crab/Asparagus Dip with Crackers, Roasted Marinated Crudities (carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, green beans, asparagus), Marinated Caribbean Shrimp, Bourbon Meatballs, Cheese Tray, Fruit Skewers, Huckleberry Wedding Punch.  Dee

Huckleberry!?!?  I had the huckleberry preserve that Sarge & Louie sent in Clifford's treat box on toast last Saturday morning.
