Employed At Last!!

Well folks, finally after 10 loooooooong months of searching I have found a job.  It's not a high paying job, but something is always better than nothing.  I start next Thursday at a lawyers office.  It's probaly going to be a part time thing at first, just have to wait and see how and where they will need me.  I will be working in whatever jobs they need.  I know I am to help in billing, and in the file room, help with phones, that kinda of thing.  They, also, said something about filing documents for them at the court house which is within walking distance. 

I am just so happy that someone took a chance on a person in their fifties.  I truly believe that is why no one hired me before.  It's not that I couldn't do the job, they just wanted someone younger, but of course couldn't say that.  I was usually over qualified or they were going in a different direction.

Congrats Darcel.  I used to work for attorneys and filed many documents at the courts.  Once the court employees know you they will go out of their way to  help  you.  From one 50 something to another have a ball I love working with the courts, lawyers not so much.

I think it is great!  I would rather have a more experienced person in my office, the younger crowd does not seem to have a very good work ethic. Good luck and by all means ENJOY yourself!
