Toby-Man my sweet boy went to the bridge tonight....

My heart is breaking and I'll write more when I can.  Toby's back went out tonight. 
We took him to the emergency vet and he had ruptured his back in several places.  The surgeon was called in and  examined him and said that because of the nature of the problem he was completely paralyzed and in horrible pain.    We made the decision that enough is enough for my sweet boy.  Please pray for him.  I just wanted to let everyone know.

Oh Terri!  My heart is breaking for you and tears are falling.  I know so well how hard it is to help our furkids get to the Bridge -- but with the circumstances it was the most loving thing to do to help them become pain free.  Know that he will be greeted by all the furkids who have gone to the Bridge.  Toby-Man knew and felt the love you and your family had for him and know that he wil be always be watching over you.  Bless you for all that you have done and all the love that you felt for Toby-Man.  God Speed, Toby-Man Angel.  We love you, Sweet Boy.   Oh, Terri!  Our sweet Toby-man!!  This is too much for me after Roscoe-Angel.  The Tin Man said, 'Now I know I've got a heart, because it's breaking." 

And I have a theory that the hurt never goes away, it never lessens.  it's just that we learn to steel ourselves to it, to hold it at bay.  We learn how to let it wash over us like a wave on the shoreline, and then recede.  Until the next time.

Extremely sorry for your loss it is a terrible ordeal to go though but at least the Fur Kids are lucky that we have the option of sending them to Rainbow Bridge and ending their pain. I'm so very sorry.

This was really unexpected just like Roscoe was.
Sending a ton of HHHHHHHH's & PPPPPPPPPPPP's for you.  Toby had a wonderful life with you and we know he will have lots of fun with the pups who have gone before him.  Hopefully Zelda has settled down a bit and won't let him astray too quickly.
These guys get under our skin so fast and we never forget them.

Oh Terri when I read this last night I couldn't believe it.  I always thought of Toby Man as a Katrina Miracle having survived the storm and come to us all here.  I never got a chance to write post for my blog on him, but will try to do it now through my tears.

I am so sorry for your loss, and doubly so because of the rapidness of the events that led to it.  We will all miss Toby-Man.  I am sure he was greeted at the Rainbow Bridge by our dearest ones who have gone before!  What can you do but let them go so they don't have to continue suffering?  My first dachsie was Fritz, and he was helped to the Bridge in a similar circumstance.  Rest in peace, Toby!

I am very sorry for your loss!! Toby-Man will be greatly missed!!!     You were very strong and did a great thing for him by making the decision you did.  I agree with everything Karen said, you don't have to brave it is okay to cry!  Take time to greive as long as you need to.
