Does your doxie hoard things?  My longhaired, Bayliss hoards things in his crate all the time!  I pulled out the blanket today to wash it and found a couple of socks, toilet paper roll, lid to something, a pen and (unfortunately) my husband's really nice headphones.  Normally Bayliss doesn't chew things up too much, but I can say that about the headphones.  It was funny b/c all the other doxies came to check out the treasures and tried to run off with them while Bayliss tried to round them all back up!  Too funny!  I don't know when he does this.  Doxies sure are sneaky... I never actually see him take his little items, I just find them later in the back of his crate!

My Granddog Bella does. She takes as many toys as she can and puts them in her crate. I tease her momma about her training her well since when Jessicca's here and being a poor college student she loads up her Wal-mart bags at my house with toilet paper, paper towels and what ever else she might need.

My longhaired, Daisy Mae, does this...  The best is when I found credit cards and cash in her crate...  She stole them right out of my jacket pocket (when it was hanging on the kitchen chair)....  Silly puppy - cash is for Mommy!!!

Ozzy doesn't hoard, but he does try to hide things.  I will give him a Milk-Bone and he will run around for about 15 minutes, trying to find a place to "hide" it.  Of course, if he sees me looking at him, he will pick up the Milk Bone and look somewhere else to hide it.  Finally, he gives up and eats it.

Emma was like bella, she would gather all her toys into her corner, adn stand gaurd especially if any other dog was in the house. I think Amy would if her big brother did not go looking after she put them in her baggie, all her own toys are in there.

That is too funny.  Though Sgt and Libby limit the hoarding to rawhide chewies.  I have seen Sgt take his Chewies (round rawhide with a marrow filling) and "bury" them in blankets or behind pillows for later.  Thing is, Libby usually finds them and when Sgt sees her with it, he'll run to his hiding place only to discover that it's gone.  To see the look on his face as if he's saying..."Hey dat wuz mine!"

Back when Lily was just a pup, she would gather all the toys and put them on this bag/blanket thing that Auntie Sandi gave them.  She would then lay on the bag and the toys and not let Max have any of them.  Once, when Lily had all but one of the toys on the bag and was coming with the last one, AliceAngel Kitty beat her to the bag and lay down in the middle of all the toys and wouldn't let Lily near them.  AliceAngel had claws and wasn't afraid to use them, so Lily just stood there and yodeled at her.  It was funny.

Haha.. this one hit close to home. Hans punkin *loves* making himself a little nest of random things in his crate.. I have to clean it out all the time, and I got him a smaller crate now so it helps slightly . He hides gross stuff mostly. Socks, undergarments, random bits of garbage and food wrappers he some how finds (especially fond of greenie wrappers), and other gross things he manages to find. Sometimes at night when he goes to bed I'll hear him crinkling or chewing on something he slipped by me.  then when I reach into his kennel to find what's in there he'll sit/lay on whatever it is to hide it. In fact the only time I've hear the little guy growl at me is when I try to get underneath him to find what he's hiding, and he refuses to move out of his crate.

Hans here: Why do mom and dad always take out my treasures! Finders keepers! How do they always find stuff too?! I hide them under my blanket so well when I'm not there!

My little girl Fa Fa LOVES to hide her treats.  She then finds them and eats them...but one time, we found her trying to put her weewee pads into her food bowl to cover it up.  I actually have a picture of it, but it's going to take some time finding it, but I'll post once I do...

Other things she loves to pack away would be all her chew toys...She steals it from Boogey and takes it, hides it and goes on an adventure to find something else to claim...Poor Boogey has no clue where all his toys went
